The Future is Now

The accelerating pace of change is affecting all facets of an organization. From business model disruption to heightened customer expectations and transformational process changes, technology-powered innovation relies on an energized and empowered team. As a result, in addition to the organization’s leader, the role of innovator and disruptor is also every member on the team’s individual responsibility as well. We each have a role to play in analyzing data, developing digital strategies, and unleashing greater value for clients and business partners. Join Kimberly Ellison-Taylor, CPA, CGMA, CISA, Oracle's Executive Director of Finance, Thought Leadership and a past Chairman of the American Institute of CPAs to discuss the future of work, change initiatives, and how emerging technologies such as artificial intell igence, machine learning, blockchain, etc., enable greater capabilities as well as capacity to reduce friction for both clients and internal team members.

Scaling Your CAS Practice with Workflow Technology

Client Accounting Services (CAS) is experiencing an explosion of software, tools and even categories of accounting and financial applications to process, store and report on information within the cloud. In just one year, we saw an increase in the applications available in the CAS cloud ecosystem by 5x! At the same time, accounting firms are making strides to narrow down their tech stack to industry leading applications to support each service delivery category in their CAS department. While doing this, it can be difficult to stay disciplined within a defined tech stack and menu of services without falling behind the waves of change. In this session, we will dig into how firms can and already are utilizing XCMworkflow and Tech Enabled Service to onboard new clients, track implementation and migration of cloud applications and centralize all of the information pertaining to their service delivery, catapulting them to scalability, increased customer satisfaction and beyond.

Gaining Firm Buy-In and Overcoming Obstacles in Building Your CAS Practice

Client Accounting Services (CAS) has become the largest growth segment in accounting firms today because it has proven to be mutually beneficial to the firm and the businesses they serve. Firms that embrace the opportunity to elevate their role with their clients can increase recurring revenue by up to 12x and eliminate much of the busy season compression, by turning existing annual engagements into monthly or quarterly strategic advisory relationships. The ability to provide CAS services that give business owners greater financial insight and advice will drive higher profitability and revenue, strengthening the professional relationship between firm and business owner. It all starts with gaining firm buy-in, selecting the right clients, defining a menu of services, being able to effectively onboard those clients and ultimately, having the ability to step into the advisory role. During this session, we will discuss the best way to navigate the journey, overcome challenges and foster an atmosphere of enriched mindsets and heightened skillsets to build out a lasting CAS practice.
