MISSION
Who are the camp counselors? Counselors are professional educators and college students pursuing degrees in fields relevant to education. Many of them return year after year, and some are even former Holy Child Academy students!
Hours8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note that Cornelia’s Camp half day dismisses at noon. The traditional day camp will dismiss half-day campers at 12:30 p.m.

Single day and flexible 3- and 4-week options are available.
NOTE: Week 4 is a shortened week. There is no camp on July 4 or July 5. Register for a 3-day week.

Holy Child Academy Summer Camp provides a variety of experiences for boys and girls aged 2 through 14. Children are grouped according to age for fun-filled, enriching, developmentally appropriate activities to stretch their minds, bodies, and spirits.

OFFERINGS
Cornelia’s CampAges 2 and 3 year oldsOur littlest campers will enjoy activities such as water play, yoga, imaginative dance, science, and arts and crafts. Class sizes are kept small to accommodate students. The campers also will engage in gross motor activities, free play, songs, stories and more.
Explorers CampGrades Pre-Kindergarten–3Our Explorers will be engaged in classes to spark their creativity such as culinary arts, visual arts, music and dance. They also will be invited to participate in sports. Students in second grade and up will go swimming twice a week at Upper Darby High School’s pool.
Adventurers CampGrades 4–8 Our adventurers will be on the go each day, participating in a variety of activities to challenge them. Main topics of exploration will include sports, cultures, technology, and movement. In addition to theme-related field trips, campers will go swimming twice a week at Upper Darby High School’s pool.

Week 1 – June 10-14STEAM Camp: Lego Camp Grades Entering Pre-Kindergarten–1(Half-day mornings)LEGO camp is back by popular demand! Explore a week of LEGO challenges.
Week 2 – June 17-21Coding and Robotics Camp Grades Entering 1–8 (Mornings or full day)Coding and robotics go hand in hand. Campers will spend the morning developing their coding skills with different skill challenges. In the afternoon, they will use their coding skills to complete challenges using Ozobot, Sphero and Lego robots. Campers will be grouped by age and ability.
Week 3 – June 24-28Engineering Camp Grades Entering 1–4 (full day)Each day campers will learn about one or more fields of engineering. Through activities and challenges, they will explore how science engineers design earthquake resistant bridges and more.
Success in Sports Camp Grades Entering 3–8 (full day)Campers will use online technology such as YouTube and video games to learn the technical side of sports in a fun, educational environment. Then campers will use those lessons to develop those skills and directly apply them on the athletic field in the afternoon.
Week 6 – July 15-19Innovation CampGrades Entering 1-8 (Mornings or full day) (Campers will be grouped by age and ability.)Campers will spend a week in the Innovation Lab creating their own project. They will take their own ideas and create them, modify them, test them and refine them. They also will have the opportunity in the afternoons to create marketing materials for their project including a computer graphic logo design and even make their own commercial using the lab’s green screen and video software.
Week 7 – July 22-26Write Away: Creative Writing CampGrades Entering 4–8This is for campers who enjoy writing or are interested in dabbling in poetry. Campers will explore techniques of great writing and have fun creating their own stories, poems or essays.
Soccer Shots CampGrades Entering Pre-Kindergarten-6 (Half-day mornings)Grades Entering 1-6 (Full day)This action-packed camp uses a soccer curriculum to teach individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Registration includes a personalized camp certificate and player evaluation. Register via www.soccershots.org.
