we have a selection of these, or you may wish to write your own. Alternatively there is a wide choice on the internet.
Please be reminded that this is a civil ceremony and must not include any religious content including religious music. Please contact us for
guidance.
ARRIVAL TIMES
Timing is crucial, should you arrive late it may not be possible to conduct your ceremony that day. Your ceremony should start at the appointed time unless there are exceptional circumstances where we have been
informed of the change, and it has been agreed by us.We ask that you and your guests arrive 20 minutes before the start time. The Registrar is required to record your personal details accurately in the marriage register. Therefore, you must both be interviewed prior to the
marriage. If you wish to do this separately, we will see one of you 20 minutes before and the other 10 minutes before the ceremony is due to start. It is your responsibility to ensure that all guests are aware of our expectations and have prior knowledge of where the venue is situated.
WITNESSES
Two witnesses, who can understand and speak English, are required to be present at the ceremony and to sign the marriage register. Ideally they
should be over the age of 16 years.
