In 2014, agricultural production such as

palay, corn, cashew, and onion increased

by 4.64 percent, 2.91 percent, 17.96

percent, and 5.91 percent, respectively,

compared to 2013.

of 0.56 percent. Despite the decline,

chicken egg production rose to 9.35

percent compared to the production in

2013.

A total of 1,239,594 tourist arrivals recorded in MIMAROPA for

the year 2014.

Tourist receipts were up to P13.02 billion, higher by 12.12% than

a year ago.

The Cable News Network (CNNGo) listed Tubbataha Reef in

Palawan (8thplace) and The Canyons in Puerto Galera, Oriental

Mindoro (45th place) as two of the best diving sites in the world

in 2014

El Nido, Palawan was also dubbed as one of top spring tourist

destinations by the National Geographic Travel.
