• From the data on forest fires in RDF Bourgas for the last 14 years, be seen, that they differ in number, and in area. There are, however, and two trends. The first is for a cyclic recurrence of years with peak forest fires, for example 2000 year are 32 322 decares burned, 2001 year- 42 594 decares. Followed by several years with very low values in area and number of the fires in the forests, 2002 are burned only 241decares forest areas in the entire Regional Forest Directorate. In the period 2002-2006 area of forest fires is from 241 – 1 479 decare. In 2008, peak with a emerges burned down 12 963 decares. Following several years of decline and peak again in 2012 with 23 049 decares burned forest territories. To a large extent this cyclical depends on atmospheric and weather conditions. The second trend to create new peaks in number of fires in the months of March-April and especially in recent years in the month of November to December.
