Second Edition

Page 2: Regional Arts Workers Directory 2nd Edition

The Regional Arts Workers Directory introduces over 36 accomplished arts workers and collectives in Queensland.

This second edition incorporates artists specialised in dance, theatre, writing, film, music, comedy, circus, photography, publishing, new media and visual arts. All of these experienced arts practitioners are willing to travel to regional communities in Queensland to deliver arts projects or run workshops

Artists and arts workers play an important role in developing the cultural and creative life of communities. Their skills are not only centred around their arts practice but in their ability to project manage, encourage, teach, and mentor others to participate in meaningful arts engagement.

In addition to your local artists, you may be seeking experts to visit your town. I encourage you to contact the artists directly to discuss your community arts project.

The Regional Arts Workers Directory is a resource for community cultural development in regional Queensland and intends to promote employment opportunities for arts workers. Artslink Queensland wants to acknowledge the importance of the artistic vivacity and skills of artists across the state. Be inspired by what artists in Queensland have to offer.
