This Youth Pheasant Hunt is a day of supervised fun, as well as a hands-on learning experience open to all licensed Junior Hunters (ages 12-15).

All Hunters & their Family Mentors are required to bring a hunter orange hunting hat & vest (license and back tag), their own shotguns, and ammunition. (Note: No external hammer guns, 28 gauge, or .410 shotguns allowed –No Exceptions).Morning snacks, lunch, stocked male pheasants, top-notch hunting dogs and handlers are provided for this eventCertified New York State DEC Hunter Education Instructors will be in charge of directing each hunting group and will insure safe conduct afield.RSVP deadline: October 3rd (Event limited to 25 hunters)Accepted applicants will receive a confirmation with hunt details & info on area clubs with open public trap shooting. This year RENIA is honoring the hard work and dedication to this hunt of past RENIA director, Augustine Tantalo. Over the last 9 years ‘Augie’ was instrumental in keeping our Youth Pheasant Hunters working over national champion pointing dogs and their handlers. ‘Augie’ passed away on March 3, 2016. We shall greatly miss Augie, but know that his spirit will be with us during this year’s RENIA Ed Warnick Memorial Youth Pheasant Hunt.
