Familiarize yourself with the directions

Wait in Auditorium for exam specific instruction

Immediately go to the assigned classroom

Set up the exam room- space the chairs- open windows- erase irrelevant information on the boards- post the start/stop time & current time

NEVER let the exam package out of you possession

IN THE REGENTS ROOM: Be sure to complete the seating chart Make each student sign the attendance sheet Check students’ IDs Confirm name of student when distributing student

answer documents Only approved materials on students desks Be sure that students sign the declaration (pen or

pencil is acceptable) Place student label in the upper left corner of the

each student’s answer booklet (if directed)

NEW - Regent Proctoring Checklist

Lists 4 statements for the “Opening Proctor” and

Lists 4 statements for the “Closing Proctor”

– Make a check next to each statement indicating that you have followed the directions & sign in both places

– Place “Checklist” on the top of the pile of exams and return with the exam envelope

NYSED COMMUNICATION DEVICES POLICY

MANDATORYRead the NYSED Communications Devices

Policy to the students verbatim- Prior to the start of the exam- Late comers

Students are prohibited from bringingelectronic devices into the testing room.

If the device is determined to be prohibited “…, the student’s test must be invalidated.”

Such devices include, but are not limited to: Cell phones Blackberry devices and other PDAs iPods and MP3 players iPads, tablets, and other eReaders Laptops, notebooks, or any other personal

computing devices Cameras or other photographic equipment Headphones, headsets, or in-ear headphones such

as earbuds, and Any other device capable of recording audio,

photographic, or video content, or capable of viewing or playing back such content

NYSED COMMUNICATION DEVICES POLICY

IF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE IS FOUND- The student must give it to you immediately

- Immediately call the Dean’s Office (x1713)

- Student must be permitted to complete the exam – to permit for due process

- After the exam – complete a statement and bring it directly to the Principal’s Office

before releasing a student Organize the papers as directed before

returning the Regents room envelope Wait patiently when submitting the

Proctoring – Report to Auditorium at 8:30am or 12:30pm

Bridge Reserve – Report to Program Office at 12 noon

Reserve - Report to Auditorium at 8:30am or 12:30pm

(stay in Auditorium until 10:15am or 2:15pm)

Relief 10:30am to 11:15am -- pick up at 8:30am in Aud. 2:30pm to 3:15pm – pick up at 12:30pm in Aud.

REMINDERS Resource Room, ISS and ESL students get

extended time Regents exams MUST start promptly at

9:15am or 1:15pm Regents exams MUST end at 12:15pm or

4:15pm (unless RR, ISS or ESL room) ELL students are allowed word-to-word

translations only

REMINDERS Conflict Room

- Regents Exams should be given before an RCT- DO NOT release students until they complete all exams

Students must be escorted to the bathrooms by hall proctors

Students are allowed to enter Morning exam – 10:00am Afternoon exam – 2:00pm

Students must not be released until Morning exam – 10:30am to 10:45am Afternoon exam – 2:30pm to 2:45pm

REMINDERS ENGLISH REGENTS – take your break

when teacher does the listening passage

FOREIGN LANG REGENTS – stay during the listening passage; a relief proctor is assigned at 10:30am – 11:15am

RCT MATH & RCT SCIENCE – no relief proctor
