What are the Regents anyway?

What is the structure of the exam? There are 4 parts (A,B,C,D) Made up of multiple choice and constructed response questions Part D has questions about the 4 state labs

What does the test taking actually look like? 3 hour exam Taken in homerooms

What are the Regents anyway?

Knowledge of Biology Taken from 7th and 8th grade topics We review all of it before the test

Application The students will be asked to apply what they

know, not just repeat what they know.

Qualifying for the Regents

Passing Science for the 3 Marking Periods

Meeting the lab requirement 30 lab hours by June 1st

What happens on the day of the Regents?Regents in the afternoonStarts at 1:15Floating

The science teachers will be floating around all the classrooms answering any questions as students are taking the test.
