Given the current global situation and an escalation of the terror threat, the need to protect our armed forces and security personnel against Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) attack must be considered the highest priority.
The greatest concern expressed by military authorities worldwide is the threat posed by biological and chemical agents that are easy and cheap to manufacture, deadly in minute quantities, easily concealed and delivered.
Consequently, Parker domnick hunter has developed regenerative filtration systems that offer effective broad band spectrum protection against chemical and biological weapon agents, new technology that will obsolete and replace single pass activated carbon filters.

Comprehensive models ranging from compact units for vehicles to large units suitable for buildings, shelters and barracks are now available. Following testing, the Parker domnick hunter regenerative CBRN filtration system has equipped British Army Titan and Trojan ETS vehicles, the first ever to include regenerative CBRN protection as standard.

Why Regenerative?Single-pass activated carbon filters only provide limited protection, have a limited life-span and require frequent filter changes, making the use of this obsolete technology a logistic nightmare.
The world’s first fully regenerative CBRN filtration system gives effective protection from all known CW and BW agents.
Regenerative CBRN technology uses on-line beds of adsorbent material to provide protection while off-line beds desorb pre-adsorbed contaminants and a purge
system dispels them safely away from personnel and back into the externally contaminated environment.
The design concept is eminently scaleable, so the same technology can be used for compact units for vehicles to much larger units for the protection of shelters, buildings and other fixed facilities.
Independently TestedTesting to the most arduous protocols has been carried out using internationally accepted chemical and live agent simulants to imitate nerve, blister, choking/blood agents, nuclear particles, viruses and bacteria.
The testing has verified that the Parker domnick hunter filtration system successfully removes airborne contamination to give full protection against all known CW and BW agents with a much broader field of operation than traditional activated carbon filters.

CBRN protection for vehiclesParker domnick hunter has developed various systems to meet the demands and requirements for all vehicle applications.
The Parker domnick hunter solution was chosen by the UK MOD for use on their Titan and Trojan Engineer Tank System (ETS) vehicles. These were the first vehicles in the world to enter service with regenerative CBRN protection fitted as standard.
The CBRN system can be integrated with the vehicles existing Environmental Control System (ECS) or, a combined CBRN/ECS unit to provide personnel with pressurised filtered air that has been pre-conditioned (heated or cooled) to provide a habitable working environment to meet the requirements of DEF Stan 00-35, categories A1 to C0 and B3 can be supplied.
This also allows the designer maximum flexibility of vehicle configuration and specification.
Parker domnick hunter regenerative CBRN protection has the modularity and capacity to be integrated into virtually all AFV’s, APC’s and diplomatic vehicles.
