The book of Isaiah 4319rdquo says ldquoBehold I will do a lsquoNew Thingrdquo now it shall spring forth shall ye not know it I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desertrdquo It is the beginning of a New Year 2012 and many have made their New Year lsquos resolutions and are looking forward to great things for this year Resolutions made are often times broken because of lack of commitment motivation loss of interest and so many other reasons Yet as children of the Most High God we have the ldquoblessed assurance ldquoof knowing that when our Heavenly Father makes a promise to us HIS WORD cannot return void but it must accomplish everything it has set out to do For 2012 we are expecting God to do A NEW THING in us at RLM Inc The word NEW can be defined as ndashNot existing before made introduced or discovered recently or now for the first time Reflecting on some of the challenges that we encountered in 2011 there are probably many who do not want to go back to what they faced then We have all had our wilderness experiences and journeys through various valleys and at times it seemed as if the storms would never cease and like the children of Israel we may have found ourselves asking why me Lord However the same power that made a way in the sea can make a way in the wilderness and He that made dry land in the waters can produce waters in the dryest land God is able to do just what he said he would do Hersquos able to do a new thing in your life in 2012 Can you trust him Our young people are fired up and excited at the second edition of the Youth project RE-GENERATION MAGAZINE This collaborative effort of young minds working together blending talents and gifts with the anointing has again chosen to declare boldly that ldquoJESUS CHRIST IS LORDrdquo to the world This R-ighteously E-xal ted Generation in this New Year in this New Season have recommitted reconnected and rededicated themselves to the work of The Kingdom Of God Filled with the Holy Spirit they now thrust themselves into the New Year with the Spirit of Expectancy anticipating the Blessings and Power of God to be Manifested tangibly amongst them and their peers We continue to lift them up daily in our prayers and hope that as they minister to God via this medium of an internet magazine they may touch impact and inspire you in their ministry Blessed with the privilege of being the Shepherd that watches over these young ones I take this time to encourage other youth around the world to get up and do your duty to God Serve him by using your gifts and talents to His glory Donrsquot sit on them your voice needs to be heard R-ighteously E-xal ted Generat ion-continue spreading the good news about Jesus Christ and him crucified Team leaders you are a constant source of inspiration to our young people Thanks for all that you do in the Kingdom Continue in excellence as unto the Lord As we speak into existence the Manifold blessings of God in 2012 upon the youth department of RLM we command the favor of God to also be your portion May all that you do prosper and give God glory You are loved needed wanted and appreciated Itrsquos a New season itrsquos a New day A fresh ANOINTING is coming your way Itrsquos a season of POWER and PROSPERITY Itrsquos a new season coming to YOU RLM Youth--- IMPACT --- GO LIGHT YOUR WORLD With Divine Love for you Rev Wendy Mitchell- Your Pastor

There are three philosophies of life or three standards of conduct

The pagan world operates on a philosophy which does evil in spite of good In other words you get the other

fellow before he gets you Use any kind of method He may have treated you well but if you can get the

advantage over him do that That is pagan and heathen philosophy

Then there is the standard of the so-called refined cultured and educated world That is do good to those who

do good to you Jesus said And if ye do good to them which do good to you what thank have ye For sinners

also do even the same (Luke 633)

The political parties in our countries operate on that principle If one person helps a man to get into political

office the politician reciprocates by offering the man a job or office You take care of your own That is the

philosophy of the so-called civilized world

The Christian is to live under a different standard We are to do good to those who do evil to us That is contrary

to the natural man The minute someone hits us we just naturally want to hit him back This is the philosophy

that Paul is talking about -- See that none render evil for evil unto any man but ever follow that which is good

-- even to those who do evil to you

In the text we read about UNRULYNESS Those who are out of step Those who like to do their own thing

rather than support the work which God is doing

We read about the FEEBLEMINDED Fainthearted people who are fearful to move out for God and they need

encouragement

We are encouraged to SUPPORT THE WEAK There are those who are weak in the faith they cannot get in

step because they are little babies They are not able to march with the rest so we should help them lift them up

and carry them along

BE PATIENT TOWARDS ALL MEN We should try not to loose our temper this is so difficult not to do In

business or in our relationship with people we meet ungodly unholy cantankerous unsaved people who are

definitely trying to trip us or to abuse us in some form and it becomes very difficult to be patient and not to

loose our tempers But God commands us to be patient with everybody

SEE THAT NONE RENDER EVIL FOR EVIL UNTO ANY MAN

In other words ndash donrsquot fight one another but ever follow that which is good both among yourselves and to all

men

The founder of CLA is Dr David C Gibbs Jr More than 40 years ago the ministry of Christian Law Association effectively began with a phone call from a pastor in Ohio As a young attorney David C Gibbs Jr could hardly believe his ears as the pas-tor relayed how his

church was being sued by the state for operating its ministry As he reviewed the legal documents Dr Gibbs was astonished that such a thing could happen in modern America From that very first case through the present day God has blessed Dr Gibbs commitment to legally

Christian teens hear a lot about Godly behavior but often wonder what that actually means

As Christians we are asked to live to a higher standard because we are representatives of God

on Earth So striving to live a God-centered life is important because when we exhibit Godly

behavior we are providing a good witness to those around us

1 Peter 212 - Live such good lives among the pagans that though they accuse you of doing

wrong they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us

Behavior is the way we act the things we do and say For example you can see behavior in fa-

cial expressions hand gesture eye contact and words of choices Behavior generally follows

attitude because we tend to behave due to the way we feel We all can control our behaviors be-

cause itrsquos our conscious mind that determines how we act By controlling our behavior we can

control our attitudes We can choose how we want to feel by choosing the way we behave The

affective way to change is starting with our behavior first This is a much more active way of

taking control of our life circumstances and the better part is that our attitudes will change to

reflect our new behavior Behavior can follow attitude but only if you focus on taking control of

your behavior so that your attitude follows yoursquoll begin to see shifts in every area of your spiri-

tual life

God expects Christian teens to live by a higher standard This means that God wants us to be

examples of Christ rather than living by the worlds standards Reading your Bible praying and

doing regular devotions are helpful ways to know Gods expectations and live a life focused on

God

Do you remember when you were little and when you were in the su-

permarket with your mom you would get distracted by something and you

were so busy focusing on what you were looking at that you did not even no-

tice your mom was gone and by the time you were ready to go back to your

mom she was nowhere to be found Well thatrsquos how it is with God He

wants us to stick with Him in whatever we do and when the devil comes

along with temptation we get distracted and lose interest in what is really im-

portant

The road to God is not easy it is narrow and bumpy and there are go-

ing to be so many things that come our way that is going to throw us off track

and to make us sin but it is our job to try and dodge those bullets and to jump

over those hurdles we have to please God in any way that we possibly can

The thing is though when we get to the end of the road we get to go to

heaven and live with God for eternity God gave us the power of choice so

we can choose the bumpy road or we can choose a broad smooth road where

all we do is have fun without thinking about whether or not what we are do-

ing is pleasing to the Lord and when we get to the end of the road we go to

live with the devil in eternal damnation so whatever we do it is our choice

So you are in the supermarket all alone yoursquore this little kid in this

huge store all by yourself and yoursquore scared the first thing you will probably

do is try to find your mom so you leave the aisle yoursquore in and then you start

walking around but to your relief your mom was just in the next aisle This

situation is also like God when we get off the road God we canrsquot see God but

he is never too far away He is always close by waiting for us to come back

to Him We are human and it is our nature to sin and to stray every once in a

while but the point is to always get yourself back on track

In Luke 1511-32 is the story Prodigal Son It is about a young man

who left home to live his own life and to have fun he made his own mistakes

and learned his lessons and when he realized that he had sinned he came

home and admitted what he did was wrong and asked God for forgiveness

possibly YOUR past This is why god is worthy of all the praise because as it said in his

word what ever you ask for believe and you shall receive

Here at RLM Ministries the youth are a vibrant group that has been set apart to be used by God They are ready to be used in any area of ministry They can be found volunteering at the Rem Kicks adult day care facility ministering in song to the elderly reaching out to the community by giving out tracks cleaning up the church every Friday composing and singing their own songs or putting the youth magazine together These are just some of the areas the youth of RLM are prepared to labor for God because they know ldquoLittle is much when God is in itrdquo They are not afraid to utilize the talents that God has given them As their youth leader I am very proud of each and every one of my young people because they have taken heed to the word of God which informs them that they are ldquoThe light upon a hill that cannot be hiddenrdquo

This gives us self-assurance as we go about fulfilling Gods call upon our lives When this confidence is evident to others the lost will look to us for direc-tion as it is written ldquoI have come as a light unto the worldrdquo(John 1246) The youth of RLM know that they have a holy calling to be the light of the world So RLM youth lift up your light that the world may see you leading others out of darkness towards Jesus the light of the world

This gives us self-assurance as we go about fulfilling Gods call upon our lives When this confidence is evident to others the lost will look to us for direc-tion as it is written ldquoI have come as a light unto the worldrdquo(John 1246) The youth of RLM know that they have a holy calling to be the light of the world So RLM youth lift up your light that the world may see you leading others out of darkness towards Jesus the light of the world
