Removing Full Extension Drawers

Allof the full extension drawers pull outso bottles can be conveniently added orremoved.

Any of the full extension drawers can beremoved to store larger bottles.

To remove:

1. Pullthe full extension drawer out to theSTOPposition.

2. Pushthe tab on right drawer guide downwhile pulling the tab on left guide up,andpull the drawer out.

To replace:

1. Pushthe drawer slide arm back intothe unit.

2. Pullthe small slide sub-assemblycompletely forward.

3. Insert the sides of the drawer back intothe guides,

4. Push until the tabs lock into place,

NOTE:Makesure the tabs on the fullextension drawer guides are fully engagedbefore loading any bottles. Pullthe drawersout all the way to the STOPposition and pushback in several times to make sure lockingtabs are properly engaged.

Wood Drawer Fronts

The full extension drawer fronts onthe beverage center and wine chiller areunfinished beech wood. During use,oil fromhands mag accumulate and stain the wood.

The drawer fronts may be stained andsealed to match adjacent cabinetry. Thetinted glass will make the stained woodappear darkeEAtrue color match canbe seen only when the door is opened.

Apply the stain and sealer according tothe manufacturer's instructions.To avoidunpleasant odor, keep the door open toventilate and allow the stain/sealer to drycompletely before using the product.

NOTE:Natural wood may vary slightly in grainand coloE

Interior Light and Switch

The interior light makes it easy to view yourwine and/or beverage labels and enhancesthe display of your collection.

When the switch is in the OFF position,the light comes on only when the door is

opened. When the switch is in the ON position,the light remains on continuously for yourmaximum viewing pleasure. For best viewing,

do not store a bottle on the top shelf directlyunder the light. Remember to turn off the light

when it is no longer needed.

Cleaning the Outside

IMPORTANT:Unplug the beverage centeror wine chiller before cleaning.

Keep the outside clean. The cabinet canbe washed with mild soap and water. Rinsethoroughlg with clean wateE Never useabrasive scouring powders.

Use a glass cleaner or mild soap and waterand a soft cloth to clean the glass dooE Donot use ang abrasive powders.

Wipe the controls with a damp cloth. Drgthoroughlg. Do not use cleaning sprags,large amounts of soap and water, abrasivesor sharp objects on the panel-theg candamage it. Some paper towels can alsoscratch the control panel.

Do not wipe the beverage center or winechiller with a soiled dishcloth or towel.

These mabl leave a residue that canerode the paint. Do not use scouring pads,powdered cleaners, bleach or cleanerscontaining bleach because these productscan scratch and weaken the point finish.

Stainless steel Regularlg clean and polishthe stainless steel areas (on some models)with a commerciallg available stainlesssteel cleaner such as Stainless Steel Magic®to preserve and protect the fine finish.Stainless Steel Magic® is available throughGEParts and Accessories, 800.626.2002, orge.com. Do not use appliance wax or polish on thestainless steel.

Cleaning the Inside

IMPORTANT:Unplug the beverage center orwine chiller before cleaning.

The vinyl door gasket may be cleanedwith mild soap and water or a baking sodasolution. Rinsewell.

After cleaning the door gasket, applg a thinlager of paraffin wax or petroleumjellg to thedoor gasket at the hinge side.This helps keepthe gasket from sticking and bending out ofshape.

Usea slightlg damp cloth or sponge whencleaning around switches, lights or controls.

Usewarm water and baking soda solution-about a tablespoon (15ml) of baking sodato a quart (1 liter) of wateEThis both cleans

and neutralizes odors.Thoroughlg rinse andwipe drg.

Other parts of the beverage center or winechiller unit-including the full extensiondrawers and glass shelves-can be cleanedthe same wag.

Avoid cleaning cold glass shelves with hotwater because the extreme temperaturedifference may cause them to break. Handleglass shelves carefully. Rough handling oftempered glass can cause it to shatter.

Do not use detergents, scouring powders,sprag cleaners or other harsh chemicals toclean the interior.

Drain Hole

Periodicallg check the drain hole andchannel for ang debris. If the drain is blocked,condensation will not drain properlg,

To check and clean the drain hole, removethe bottom two glass shelvesor bottom twofull extension drawers. Sweep a damp clothalong the channel in the back of the beveragecenter. Usea finger to sweep awag ang debrisfrom the drain hole.

Light Bulb ReplacementUnplug the beverage center or wine chillerbefore replacing the light bulb.

To remove the light shield,push in the tab onthe left side of the shield and lower it. Replacewith a !5 watt appliance bulb.

In the Event of a Power Failure

If the power fails, open the door asinfrequentlg as possible to maintainthe temperature.

To remove the door:

• Flatten the shipping carton to use as a pad.• Removethe 2 screws and the toekick. Set aside the screws

and toekick for final installation.

• Usethe supplied Torx®bit and electric drill to removethe 3 screws holding the top case hinge. Lift offthe hinge.(Screwswill be used to install the new hinge.)

• Lift the door off the bottom casehinge,

• Remove the bottom case hinge pin and bracket,

To reinstall the door:

1. Remove the door stop and cam riser on the bottom rightside of the doon

2. Remove the bottom fill plug on the bottom left side ofthe doon

3. Reinstallthe original door stop and cam riser onto thebottom left side of the doon

4. Reinstallthe bottom fill plug on the bottom right side ofthe doon

5. Remove the top fill plug on the top left side of the doon

6. Reinstallthe top fill plug on the top right side.

7. Install the new supplied bottom case hinge pin andbracket onto bottom left side.Ensure plastic cam riseris on the case hinge pin.

8. Placethe door onto the bottom case hinge.

9. Install the supplied left-hand top case hinge with the3 original screws.

10. Select the hinge cover marked with an "L"

11. Peelbacking offthe tape insidethe decorative hinge cove_

12. Pressand snap the hinge cover into InstallCoversplace. _b/

13. Snap the screw holecover intoplace on the opposite side.

HUMMM...--WHOOSH...

• The new high efficiency compressor may run fasterand longer than your old appliance and you mayhear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound whileit is operating.

• Sometimes the appliance runs for an extended period,especially when the doors are opened frequently.

• Youmag hear a whooshing sound when the doors close.This is due to pressureequalizing within the appliance.

CLICKS, POPS,CRACKS and CHIRPS

• You mag hear cracking or popping sounds whenthe appliance is first plugged in. This happens asthe appliance cools to the correct temperature.

• Expansion and contraction of cooling coils during andafter defrost can cause a cracking or popping sound.

• You mag hear the fans spinning at high speeds.This happens when the appliance is first plugged in,when the doors are opened frequently or when largeamounts of beverages are added to the appliance.The fans help maintain desired temperatures.
