What is Zone Therapy?

• A holistic treatment- • It can be carried out on the feet, hands and ears• Helps to balance out energy pathways by

applying pressure to corresponding areas in the feet, hands and ears.

History of Zone Therapy

Reflexology dates back to ancient civilizations such as Egypt, India and China, but this therapy was only introduced to the West in the early ………….. What are Zones?A Zone is a channel of the body that runs from the top of the head down through the arms and hands, legs and feet.There are …….. longitudinal zones, …… on each side of the body. Massage mediums

The therapist must select an appropriate medium for the client. For example, if a client has dry feet, a cream or a lotion will aid more movement as well as helping with the condition. You may also have a preferred medium which you like to use. Try the following movement to see which you prefer:• good for oily skins or client who don’t like the feel of oils or creams

• initially light and silky which then transform into a light powder

• Are heavier and greasier, are suitable for dry skins.
