Although a popular saying, this proverb does hold correct in real life too and hence one can safely say that our friend circle reveals a lot about our personality and character. There exists a simple philosophy in building relationships; we gel most with people who share common interest with us. We always develop the same habits from people who are closest to us. It is part of our human nature. Consciously or unconsciously we tend to imbibe a lot from those around us. I have been very fortunate to be blessed with a good friend circle throughout my life. Friends, who loved & cared to the utmost, have been a constant source of inspiration, courage & are resplendent examples of self- sustainability. I have learned and imbibed a lot from my friends and I would like to share some of the thoughts here: From our birth to death, every experience that we go through in our life is a new experience. We need to face all type of circumstances with joy but not with fear, for it’s worthless to fear which cannot be avoided, as a stream of water never stops flowing when it is set to flow. It’s a good & bad behavior, not to show your pains to others, when you are suffering from injustice. Either let your wound be healed slowly or remain in deep meditation all the day fearing of becoming fallible. Two greatest faults: one acting soon, and second giving a chance to slip far off. Never involve in anything without understanding the consequences and never embark for something which needs to be abandoned immediately. Act of pardoning should not drive you to accept everything; otherwise you will lose the sight of the purview of your dreams. Fear can be either through aggression or by submission. Use your fears as a motor not as a brake, if required learn from your opponent and act in the same fashion. As George Gurdjieff said and, my friends taught me from life that, Conscious faith is freedom. Instinctive faith is slavery. Mechanical faith is foolishness. Conscious hope is strength

REFLECTION WITH FRIENDS

A Japanese proverb says; when the character of a man is not clear to you, look at his

friends. Although a popular saying, this proverb does hold correct in real life too and

hence one can safely say that our friend circle reveals a lot about our personality and

character. There exists a simple philosophy in building relationships; we gel most with

people who share common interest with us. We always develop the same habits from

people who are closest to us. It is part of our human nature. Consciously or unconsciously

we tend to imbibe a lot from those around us. I have been very fortunate to be blessed

with a good friend circle throughout my life. Friends, who loved & cared to the utmost,

have been a constant source of inspiration, courage & are resplendent examples of self-

sustainability. I have learned and imbibed a lot from my friends and I would like to share

some of the thoughts here:

• From our birth to death, every experience that we go through in our life is a new

experience. We need to face all type of circumstances with joy but not with fear, for

it’s worthless to fear which cannot be avoided, as a stream of water never stops

flowing when it is set to flow.• It’s a good & bad behavior, not to show your pains to others, when you are suffering

from injustice. Either let your wound be healed slowly or remain in deep meditation

all the day fearing of becoming fallible.• Two greatest faults: one acting soon, and second giving a chance to slip far off. Never

involve in anything without understanding the consequences and never embark for

something which needs to be abandoned immediately.• Act of pardoning should not drive you to accept everything; otherwise you will lose

the sight of the purview of your dreams.• Fear can be either through aggression or by submission. Use your fears as a motor not

as a brake, if required learn from your opponent and act in the same fashion.• As George Gurdjieff said and, my friends taught me from life that,

Conscious faith is freedom.

Instinctive faith is slavery.

Mechanical faith is foolishness.

Conscious hope is strength

Emotional hope is cowardice.

Mechanical hope is sickness.

Conscious love arouses love.

Emotional love arouses the unexpected.

Mechanical love arouses hate.

• The aptitude development or learning of a skill, which evolve the individual

progress, is in similar pattern to the waves in the sea; which operates in peaks &

troughs; which are extremely powerful when it breaks out, yet it manifests in itself.

It dashes ahead, draws back and resumes the same form inexhaustibly. We humans

also progress in a similar way. We have moments of success that are achieved

quickly, which in turn brings joy and high sprits in us. Then there comes the

inevitable trough, when we are experimented to the highest. The weak draw back,

while the brave fight harder, far from surrendering. We humans tend to improvise

through these highs & lows. So keep on fighting - even harder, as nature leaves no

efforts unrecognized.

So give room for new ideas so that our energy can be renewed, and it is necessary to have

courage. Courage to face preconceptions, to be honest, dependable, courage to realize

that whatever we do affects the history of the world. Have courage to take steps in the

direction that are not known, even knowing from time to time we are going to makemistakes. We are locking ourselves in a castle of mediocrity by fearing to do mistakes

and if we manage to defeat this fear, we all are taking an important step towards our

freedom. To attain our dreams we need to have a strong will - as well as a huge capability

of self surrender. Although we all have an objective, the road to reach the destinations

won’t be always as one imagined, so we all should be discipline and have compassion.

God will never abandon his children - but his intentions for the providence are

unfathomable. So accepts each challenge as an opportunity to transform by turning your

thought into actions. We all make mistakes, and pay the price of our error. We also strays

from the defined path and wastes much of our time getting back to the original

destination. You are a product of your environment. So choose the environment that will

best develop you toward your objective. Believe and Follow the ultimate light. God has

done his part by creating us and putting us in the world, now he looks down on us with

love and asks us to do our part.
