The Pathways weekly assembly began with the students in the music club performing the “Skye Boat Song.” The song was followed by a talk by the school librarian on the newly introduced “Book Club.” Ms Suryanshu first expressed the importance of reading, and how it helps us have a holistic and pragmatic approach. She then explained the concept of the “Book Club”, in which the students would write book reports, analyse novels, and learn the various forms of citation. The members of the club would also select books to be included in the li- brary at the end of every term. Once a year, the students would distrib- ute books and bookmarks, as part of the Community Service Project. The librarian ended by saying that she expected the members of the “Book Club” to encourage reading among their peers, while being avid readers themselves. She mentioned that their book reports would be displayed, so that the other students could understand the story before checking them out. Lastly, the Principal, Mrs Dimpu Sharma, spoke about the School’s Es- sential Agreements. She made it clear that misuse of the laptops and substance abuse would lead to immediate expulsion. She stated the rules regarding lockers, and tiffin boxes, before winding up. club performing the Skye Boat Song. The song was followed by a talk

by the school librarian on the newly introduced Book Club.

Ms Suryanshu first expressed the importance of reading, and how it

helps us have a holistic and pragmatic approach. She then explained the

concept of the Book Club, in which the students would write book

reports, analyse novels, and learn the various forms of citation. The

members of the club would also select books to be included in the li-

brary at the end of every term. Once a year, the students would distrib-

ute books and bookmarks, as part of the Community Service Project.

The librarian ended by saying that she expected the members of the

Book Club to encourage reading among their peers, while being avid

readers themselves. She mentioned that their book reports would be

displayed, so that the other students could understand the story before

    checking them out.

Lastly, the Principal, Mrs Dimpu Sharma, spoke about the Schools Es-

sential Agreements. She made it clear that misuse of the laptops and

substance abuse would lead to immediate expulsion. She stated the

rules regarding lockers, and tiffin boxes, before winding up.
