Reflection  on  Graphic  Design  Unit:    Over  the  course  of  the  graphic  design  unit  I  have  learned  to  use  the  basic  elements  of  photoshop  and  illustrator.  Projects  such  as  the  Business  Card  and  the  Magazine  Cover  polished  my  skills  in  various  ways.  For  example,  the  Business  Card  introduced  the  basic  ideas  of  photoshop  and  illustrator  such  as  rendering,  highlighting  objects  etc.  The  Magazine  Cover  allowed  me  to  improve  upon  my  skills  and  add  to  the  basic  elements  of  photoshop.  Certain  Areas  that  I  have  to  improve  on  in  the  Graphic  Design  unit  is  my  design  brief.  Often  my  design  brief  is  very  vague  (see  the  design  brief  of  the  Magazine  Cover)  which  doesn’t  give  me  a  real  life  experience.  Also,  I  often  work  of  what  I  think  is  best  instead  of  following  the  design  brief  which  makes  the  point  of  a  design  brief  useless  in  my  case.  So,  in  the  next  projects  my  goal  is  to  come  up  with  a  nice  and  accurate  design  brief  and  follow  it  until  the  project  is  finished.  I  learned  how  to  create  a  spotlight  on  an  object.  Overall,  I  am  exceeding  my  own  expectations  in  the  Graphic  Design  unit  and  hope  I  could  continue  this  progress.
