After taking UWRT 1101 I can honestly say that Ive become a better writer. By doing the daily writings and writing prompts it allowed me practice writing frequently and improved over time. The amount of writing we had to do made me better as a writer. My favorite project in this course is the semester long project because we had the opportunity to do it about anything we want. I love the freedom we have in this course to write about what were interested in, another example of that is the UNC Charlotte history project. I learned the right way of MLA format and the rules to citing my sources. This is going to be a huge advantage for me in my fall classes because I already know how to write a paper in MLA format in the correct way. Im so glad I was taught the proper way of MLA because how we did it in high school was different. I kind of struggled with getting overwhelmed by how many papers we had to write but I learned how to adjust and plan accordingly to get it finished.

Another thing Im taking out of this course is time managing my work to make sure everything is done on time. I believe my best work in this course was the UNC Charlotte project because I worked really hard on it to find the research and decide how to organize my paper about what I was going to write about. There was a lot of information about Bonnie Cone and I had to make a list of what I wanted to talk about

first, second and third; by doing that it made me realize that making a list like that helps me focus on my paper and I plan on doing that with future essays I have to write. Only thing I wished we worked on in this course would be to learn about other writing formats. I learned MLA really well and wanted to learn another format. Overall I really enjoyed this course from our daily discussions to our free writes to our more extensive essays.
