COOPERATIVE LEGAL SERVICE DELIVERY PROGRAM (CLSD)

The Cooperative Legal Service Delivery Program (CLSD) aims to establish mechanisms to promote exchange of information between CLSD regional partners and promote awareness of these services. The Aboriginal Legal Service is predominantly a criminal law practice, which provide advice and representation for both Indigenous adults and young persons. Other legal problems, such as those involving credit and debt, discrimination, mental health, social security, to name a few, are called civil law matters. Prisoner & Family Support Unit Officers from the Unit regularly visit all adult correctional centres and juvenile detention centres, police stations and corrective holding cells.
