Law 5 The referee • They enforce the laws of the game and apply the advantage rule

where appropriate

• Record of all incidents before, during and after game

• Stop game when deemed necessary

• Check the 2 minute punishment period after a player has been sent off

• Ensure substitutions are carried out properly, and keeping a check on the 1 minute time out;

• Maintain their position on the side of the player’s bench.
