    Usedmostlyforlookstomaintainreputation.SoIneverwore'em,mebein'acynic,Thenonedaywhileridin'amulemanshipclinic.Somethin'justhappenedthatturnedmearoundAfriendofmine'shatlefthisheadandflewdown.Tilitlit'neaththenoseofabigmollymule.Shesnorted,setbackandquitepromptlyleftschool.Herearswenttotwitchenhereyesrolledaround

    Whenshebowedupherbackallfourfeetlefttheground.RightdownthearenashebuckedandcrowhoppedOnintothechuteswhereshefinallygotstopped.Butnotbeforeleavin'myfriendinthedirtWherehisprideandbacksidewasbothquiterightlyhurt.Thatsetmetothinkin',andIfiguredoutthatmightnotbetmyneckonthefitofmyhat!AndIguessIgotcompanycausenextthingIseenWasmostamyfriendssportin'newstampedestrings.

    C. Rhododendron Parade Jacque reported she has heard from afive riders and will proceed with plans to enter. Contact her if youtorideintheApril24parade.

    D. Rendezvous Planning Meeting Jacque and Erica will attenpresentsuggestionsforimprovementsattheevent.E.CaliforniaStateParksFoundationPetition Ericawillpickupcopthepetitionfrom theprinter anddistribute them. Thepetitionurglegislaturetosetasidemoneyinthebudgettokeepallstateparksop

Theplowsaresmallandhavelittlewheelstogoalongthetrails.TheForestServiceisleaving"recreation"outofthenewplan.Itisbeingputunderotherareas. Youneetowritetoopposethis!.TheBerkeleyWildernessConferenceisinthefirstpartof April.GrandCanyon-largecutsinthemulepackingandrides-theyarewantingtoshiftittothenorthrim.Dr.GeneWoodfromSouthCarolinawillbeonascientificteamtoevaluatedocumentsandplans.AlanHillspokeabouttheHiketheHilleventinWashington,DC.
