KLASS KIDS* (a department of Crown Jesus Ministries) wanted to have a comic book designed featuring their popular puppets.

The Bible story concerning Daniel and the den of lions was chosen to be retold in a very modern, funny and child-friendly way.

The project was supported by One Hope Ministries and United Christian Broadcasters.

The following pages show the comic in its development stages.

TIME TRAVELLING PUPPETS

*Klass Kids run a dynamic after-school programme that presents the truth of God’s Word in an enjoyable and contemporary style. Their programmes include songs, quizzes, multimedia and puppets. The Klass Kids team also take school assemblies.

COVER IDEAS AND OTHER EARLY SKETCHES

Planning was done with pencil, then amendments were made after discussions. The artist and client worked together to

to build up the best ‘look’ for the story.

The cover title and namestlye was changed more than once before it was finally settled.

To help with clothing and colour choice, a few rough paintings were produced and then sharper art was drawn using a digital pen and tablet.
