Redemption

SynopsisA former bank heist mastermind is trying to settle down with his son and family when his old team force him to take part in just one more heist due to grim circumstances. During the heist the retired mastermind is shot leading him to be captured by the police who convince him to work with them to track down and bring the other heist members to justice in trade for his freedom.

During his hunt he works with a ‘questionable’ detective who has been employed by the government to help track down and bring the notorious heist members to justice. During this part of the film the detective and the Mastermind build up their relationship as they capture and take down more and more of the members despite a rocky start at first him being with the police and the mastermind being a notorious criminal. As their relationship develops they end up becoming on similar moral grounds. As they get closer and closer to the last criminal who was the masterminds best friend the choice that will decide the fate of the film will be made by the main character to who he decides to live or die.

Characters Mike (Retired Mastermind) – The retired mastermind, main role, helps the

detective/police hunt down the other heist members.

Danny (Masterminds Son)

John (One Of Heist Members) – Was Masterminds best friend, taken turn for the worse.

Dominic (One Of Heist Members) – Engineer for heist members, ex army.

Thomas (One Of Heist Members) – Weapons Specialist, history of physical violence and mental problems.

Detective Richard (Detective) – Regular detective, works with Mike to track down the other heist members. Not afraid to bend police rules but questions motives etc…

Opening Sequence Idea

The sequence will start with the production logo and custom logo animations and then fade into the first shot which will be an establishing shot of the main character from a birds eye view lying down on the floor wounded. The camera will very slowly spin on its axis while very slowly zooming in as well. During this slow descent there will be a series of short cuts to twenty second flashbacks where we will see a run through of a shortened version of events leading up to the present shot. These flashbacks will start with the main character with his son, the next with the rest of the heist members and then the actual heist taking place with the last being a scene where he gets shot. The opening sequence will then end with a cut to black.

Opening Sequence Ideas (Sound)

Main music to go over the top, either gentle piano music to contrast with the fast paced visuals or some piece of gentle guitar music.

Ambient sounds like the police sirens adding to background noise over the top of the music.

More Ambient sounds like shouts during the heist etc, only to accompany the primary sound of the gentle music.
