design and fulfil their prescription drug benefit plans. Support of Medicare Part D program requires the enhancement of all three adjudication platforms currently administered by Caremark. To facilitate this process, a series of business requirement specification (BRS) documents have been created to define the business requirements for the various functional areas. The various functional areas are: Quantum Leap, Recap and RxCLAIM. The scope of this project includes:

Project Description Caremark Inc. is one of the largest pharmaceutical services companies in the United States and one of the nation’s leading prescription benefits managers (PBM). More than 20 million plan participants each year receive over 90 million prescriptions through Caremark and more than 1,200 plan sponsors – corporations, insurance companies, managed care organizations, government entities, and unions – rely on Caremark to design and fulfil their prescription drug benefit plans. The process begins when a Member goes to the pharmacy to have a prescription filled. The pharmacy submits a claim using the member’s information as well as a BIN/Process or Control/Group number (BPG). The claim is routed to the switching company or “Switch” via the BPG. The switch then determines which processor (RxClaim) should process the claim. RxCLAIM uses the BPG to identify the claim and begins checking eligibility and the benefit plan for coverage. Once all the information has been verified, RxCLAIM will send a message back to the pharmacy that communicates a paid or reject claim.

Project Description AMWAY Corporation is the largest multi-level marketing organization/direct selling company in the world that offers AMWAY brand products. DMS (Distributor Management System) and OMS (Order Management System) are two of the core modules of the Amway system developed in COOL:2E. DMS maintains complete information with regards to IBOs (Independent Business Owner) including details of their PV (Point Value) and BV (Business Volume), based on which IBOs get their revenues. OMS maintains and manages detailed information with regards to orders which captured into the system through different modes viz. Internet, fax, phone etc. OMS also interacts with other advanced interfaces like CODA, P3 (Phase 3) and the Bonus system (RMS). These interfaces are also maintained as part of OMS.

11. Enhanced Front End (EFE) for Exel Logistics UK – (Jun 2002 To Nov 2002) Project Description

This project is being executed for Exel Logistics, UK. This project is to extend as well as integrate the existing

legacy applications for EXEL. The existing IT Infrastructure is on UNITEL21 (U21) legacy system, which

includes ‘Freight Management System' on AS/400 (SYNON, RPG and DB2400) Environment. The Control

Tower (CT) Module forms a part of Enhanced Front End, which is one of the projects in existing Global Freight

Management System.

The objectives of the project are to provide:

A common front end, and one login, to all Exel's applications.

A more intuitive user interface that follows the operational process and removes the need for operators to

navigate a structured, and time consuming, green screen hierarchy

A solution that is configurable for different regions, countries, locations, workgroups and allows multi-lingual

data entry.

Project Description

SCI was the track and trace solution by ExelPlc, UK for its clients. The clients were able to track their shipments through Exel and other 3PLs. Any Milestones against the shipments were visible. Purchase Orders, Sales Order and Frieght Movement Orders could be entered into the system through SCI. It comprises of many interfaces, the front-end which is web base, the EDI Handler for handling the EDI messages from clients and interface with Unitel 21, the Freight Forwarding application of Exel. The front-end is developed using Silver Stream 2.5.4 while backend is in DB2 UDB on AS/400.
