Abstract
In this paper is presented a description of a decision trees and the ID3 algorithm to determine whether or not to apply drugs to
patients with cardiovascular diseases. It is also empirically shown that is possible to diagnose the necessity of administering drugs
to patients with cardiovascular diseases based on arterial pressure, cholesterol index, level of sugar and other allergies by means
of decision trees and the ID3 algorithm implemented in Java language.
