RED HOMES HOMECARE NEWSLETTER

Hello and welcome to our March Newsletter. I would like to introduce myself to Red Homes Homecare. My name Is Melanie Heaton, my background is in Homecare I have 15 years of experience working from being a carer through to Management level. Myself and Bernadette will be working together to continue to ensure an excellent Homecare service. I will be visiting to introduce myself in the next couple of weeks. I am looking forward to meeting you all.

We had another trip out to The Town Hall to see the Newark Town Band. This was a wonderful afternoon but unfortunately the last of the Mayor’s events of this kind. He is hoping if he is elected as Mayor again he will be able to arrange the Brass Bands again next year. The events in the castle grounds are still going to be taking place, hopefully this is something we can enjoy if anyone is interested.

 

A DATE FOR THE OUTING TO SOUTHWELL MINSTER WILL BE ARRANGED THIS WEEK AND WE WILL LET ALL HOMECARE CLIENTS KNOW WHEN THIS IS. HOPEFULLY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO JOIN US.

We have moved our office to the original building at Red Rose. All Clients, Relatives and Staff are more than welcome to come and see us there. We have a Homecare notice board which will have up to date information on it about interesting topics. We currently have 15 of our staff who are Dignity Champions, their photos will be added to this board this week. This involves registering on the Dignity website and they are kept up to date with all dignity issues and new ideas. Hopefully they will promte these new ideas when they are out working.

I'm planting my first seed today The seed of dignity

In time you'll see my seed will grow And grow into a tree

A tree fulfilled with knowledge A plant for all to see

What being a dignity champion Really means to me

It's a leaf with an idea on It's an idea I'd like to share

It's an inspirational idea It's a leaf to show I care

The tree will always be there Long after I have gone

To stand up for dignity in care A challenge to be won

I know you will support me And I know you'll love the tree

It's not just a tree you know It's what dignity means to me
