Kamela & Company Realty 299-0888 RED fundraiser slated for April 24 Oakwood residents Debbie Basnett, Dana Hookassian, Robin McMacken and Jean Winham, owners of Vintage Scout Interiors in historic downtown Centerville, will present an “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired table design Saturday, April 24, as part of RED: The Silver Celebration. The event is a fundraiser for the AIDS Resource Center Ohio and marks the center’s 25 th anniver- sary. RED is an acronym for the event’s underlying message: Reach. Empower. Dream of a world without HIV/AIDS. “We are thrilled to be participating in such an important event,” Hookassian said. “The money raised will help the center continue its mission to provide HIV/AIDS prevention and education programs; testing and counseling; support services; and access to care throughout the state.” The designers also summoned the spirit of characters from “Alice in Wonderland” to create a whim- sical and joyful approach to their table design. This year, in honor of ARC Ohio’s 25th anniversary, RED: The Silver Celebration will embrace the color silver as the unifying theme. The RED Table Design Gala will highlight the talents of the area’s top designers. Forty tables will be decorated around a central theme, but each table will be dis- tinctly different. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. April 24 at the Roundhouse on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Dancing will follow the dinner with Ruckus Roboticus as the DJ. Raffle tickets, which are $25 each or five for $100, are still avail- able at Vintage Scout for a 2010 red SmartForTwo Passion Coupe. There also will be a silent auc- tion the night of RED: The Silver Celebration. For more informa- tion, call ARC Ohio at 461-2437.
