    Career History

    Bumper Specialties, Inc. West Deptford, New Jersey 4/1992 to 4/2009Plant ManagerFully responsible for all aspects of production. Hired and trained my personnel. Learned and taught allmachine functions and processes pertinent to the manufacturing of all the parts from the start-up to theshipping of the finished product. Created SOPs to assure safety, quality and efficiency. A chain ofcommand and an open communication were also created to ensure that all were aware of the importance ofthe role that each of them held and how their job affected the companys well being. Open-door policiesencouraged employees input to problems and improvements to their working environment. Raised thelevel of technical expertise in the plant and in machine maintenance. Improvement in process engineeringwas directly responsible for easing overall plant operation . Provided cross-functional management;directing the Quality, Engineering/Tooling, Maintenance, Materials & Logistics and Human Resourcemanagers as well as the plant Controller and the general oversight of 60+ employees.     Through the use of MS Excel, developed a Production Cost Analysis that depicted present and

Newark, Delaware 5/1988 to 3/1992Department ManagerEstablished a Polyurethane coating department in a rubber printing roller plant and was fully responsiblefor all aspects of the department. Hired and trained all department personnel. Establishedinterdepartmental communications that aided in keeping the highest quality standards for the rollers

    produced. Set new standards for polyurethane roller production.

    Invented new procedures in order to pour a bubble free printing roller.

    Formulated a more durable and abrasive resistant Polyurethane coating.

Bought a newer and larger facility andmoved the companys location. Enhanced procedures and diversified production. Assisted in the R&D ofnewer products for the U.S. Department of the Navy.

He introduced me tomethods of learning how to make and keep a shop safe and efficient while maximizing production andmaintaining the highest degree of quality. Respect and fairness in the workplace were essential inachieving the necessary work environment and keeping morale at its peak. He also stressed that your wordwas worth more than what was on a piece of paper and it should be honored even if it cost you somemoney. We worked closely with the Department of the Navy and Annapolis to develop newer productsthat dealt with acoustics and vibration. We also were key in changing an MPR so that it would enhance theproducts durability and quality.

    N.J., schooled for my MOS at Ft. Devens, Ma. and was approved for a Top Secret Crypto clearance.After a months stay at a special camp in California, spent a year in Viet Nam. I returned to the states andwas stationed in Ft.Carson, Co. and then to Vint Hill Farms, Va. to finish my active duty. I received myHonorable Discharge as an inactive reservist in September of 1976.

    Key Achievements:

    Was proficient enough in my MOS to make each rank on an accelerated pace

    Was awarded the ARCOM, a Bronze Star, a Presidential Citation for job well done under fire, and

    the Viet Nam Campaign ribbon.
