To view online resumes: -Go to www.hiresooner.com -Click on "Employer" -Click on "HIREsooneR login" button -Login with your Username and Password -Once logged in, select "Resume Books" button at the top of the page

on-Campus Interviewing traditional on-Campus Interviews The traditional on-campus interviewing process (posting, screening, and interviewing) typically requires five to six weeks from start to finish and includes the following: -Job is posted -Resumes are collected online -Employer "pre-selects" interview candidates -Selected students schedule an interview time

After scheduling interview dates with Career Services, we will publicize the position you have available and collect resumes of interested students. You will have the opportunity to review all of the resumes and make your selections. The students will receive e-mail notification that they have been selected for an interview and will sign up for a time on the interview schedule. You will interview the candidates in the Career Services office. (See page 6 for instructions on arranging on-campus interviews.)

Room-only on-Campus Interviews Room-only scheduling allows you to contact students directly and schedule interviews yourself. You will select your interview candidates from an available source, such as a career fair, resume book, or contact with student groups, and interview the candidates in the Career Services office. We recommend you reserve your interview date early as these requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

After Career Fair Interviews For selected career fairs, interviews may be scheduled for the following day. This is an excellent opportunity to meet students face to face and interview them the following day. Check online at hiresooner.com for a list of career fairs offering interviews the following day.

We want to ensure that your recruiting efforts are successful at The University of Oklahoma. If you are seeking additional opportunities to reach out to students, we suggest you consider the following programs or services.

Information sessions Information Sessions are typically held the night before interviewing students you have selected in the On-Campus Interviewing process. They give you an opportunity to highlight your organization prior to the actual interview and provide details about the positions for which you are recruiting. They are optimally about an hour long with snack foods or pizza served. It is a good idea to bring employees who are recent OU graduates, if possible. Our Employer Relations Team maintains a calendar of information sessions and can assist you in making the arrangements. If you have posters or flyers you would like us to post, please send them to our office and we will see that they are posted across campus. Ship any materials in advance and we will hold them for your meeting.

Career Fairs Throughout the year, Career Services hosts or co-hosts numerous career fairs that attract a large number of students from freshman to graduate students. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the students face to face. For detailed information on each career fair, please go to our Web site, www.hiresooner.com, and click on “Employers” and then on “Career Fairs”.

student organizations If you are interested in targeting a particular student population or major, we recommend that you communicate directly with student organizations. This is an excellent way to educate our students about the various opportunities available within your company. For a list of all student organizations that match your recruiting needs visit http://ou.edu/studentlife.

Job search Workshops Early in the fall and spring semesters, the Career Services office schedules workshops designed to teach job search skills. These are often presented by employers and cover a variety of areas including: - how to break into your industry - business professionalism - professional dress - how to work a career fair - job search strategies - how to shine at your first job/internship If you are interested in presenting a workshop in the fall or spring, contact Sarah Welch at [email protected].

Campus newspaper The Oklahoma Daily is the official student newspaper of the University of Oklahoma. Their staff can assist you with reaching the students in a variety of ways from classified line ads to large-format display advertising. For information on promotional opportunities through The Oklahoma Daily, contact the advertising manager at (405) 325-2521.

Lunch with Faculty and staff Each college at OU has opportunities for you to get involved with their faculty and staff. We can put you in touch with the appropriate person based on your recruiting needs.

If you are visiting our office to conduct on-campus interviews, we can make arrangements for you to take our faculty or staff to lunch. Indicate your interest on the On-Campus Interview Schedule. We will contact the individuals you wish to invite and have them meet you in the Career Services office on the day of your interviews.
