Yoga*

Participants will have the opportunity to learn yoga techniques which provide a variety of physical benefits, including body strengthening, flexibility and relaxation. Breath work will be taught as a tool to help calm the nervous system and clear the mind. During each session, students will be guided into deep relaxation. Yoga mats are provided. Participants are asked not to eat 2 hours before the program.

Ceramics*

This popular ceramics program will be held at the Gregorio Cen-ter in Linden. Enjoy an evening with friends while creating a keep-sake to take home with you. This program is run in conjunction with the City of Linden’s Department of Recreation. Group homes are limited to two participants.

Family Fun & Flix Catch a movie under the stars at a County Park near you! The fun begins at 7:30 pm; with Kids’ fitness activities presented by UC Get Fit; the movie starts at dusk. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. This event is free.

Summer Arts Festival

All concerts are held Wednesday evenings from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Bring your blanket & picnic basket for an evening beneath the stars while enjoying great music. Enjoy Community Yoga on Wednesday nights before the show presented by UC Get Fit. A food vendor will be on site selling refreshments.

In the event of rain, please call the Parks and Recreation Hotline, (908) 558-4079, after 3 pm on the day of the show.

Admission is free.

Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA 1340 Martine Avenue, Scotch Plains

Free recreational swim sessions for people with disabilities will continue at Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA, every Tuesday even-

ing from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The summer session ends in August 16. Sign in at the front desk upon arrival. Persons requir-ing assistance either in the water or in the locker room must make their own arrangements for an aide. (One aide per person will be admitted free of charge). Organizations are limited to five people and must provide a chaperone in the water and each locker room
