What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

USBThe USB stick has helped me a lot while working on my music magazine. PowerPoint files are too big to send them to my own email, therefore I had to save my work on USB. The USB stick also allowed me to save al my work and work on it outside of classrooms on different computers. It provided me with security that my mass media will be stored safely without getting it lost

This program was very useful as it helped me to organise my work carefully and efficiently opposed to just upload them on the blog. Without this program I would have had a lot of trouble in creating my slideshows and presentations. Therefore this program has been a great use to me in order to finish my media project.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft WordThis program has used me a lot in order to get my main article together. Not only with that, but also it checked my grammar and punctuations mistakes as I turned on the ‘Spelling Check’ tool. Further more, I have used this program for analysing the real contents pages, double page spread and front pages.

Technologies used for the first time

Adobe Audition

I have never used this program before, therefore it toke me a while to get used to it. However, this program has helped me a lot by adjusting my audio recordings for my audience feedback and audience research. Furthermore, it enable me to delete unwanted parts such as background talking or laughing. Once I found how to work with it, it made my work much easier, and it was a useful program that helped me finishing my media project.

Edirol

I used this device in order to gather my information together for my audience research and audience feedback. Audiences were asked easy question which I used to make my project look better. Once I had my information, I had to plug the USB in the Edirol and the end in the computer in order to transfer the files over. This was an very quick and easy method to use.

Blogger

Creating a blog was unfamiliar for me because I had never created a blog before, therefore in the beginning I had problems with using the program, however I got used to it and found out that using the program is not that complicated at all. Nevertheless, once I tried to upload picture but in order to upload it correctly I had to save the image first as a JPEG for it work and support the function of blogger. The blog also allowed me to edit and delete post, in order to improve my work.

Also with this program I was unfamiliar. SlideShare provided to be very useful as it enabled me to upload presentations from PowerPoint straight to my blog website. This program made my work look more organised and professional, without it I would have struggled a lot to upload my PowerPoint onto blogger

Adobe Photoshop

This program was very important to me as it helped me with producing my music magazine. The program had many options which benefited me a lot. For example, the program made me able to crop pictures out, change colour levels, brush spots away, lighting up the picture and many more. Overall, the program made my work look attractive and realistic as possible.

Adobe Photoshop – Using Lasso tool

In Adobe Photoshop I was able to get rid of my background picture in order to crop my main artist out so I could place her on my front page. This tool is very useful and efficient as it cropped my main artist out in very neat. Further more, Photoshop also provided me to resize the image and re-positioning of images and items

Adobe Photoshop – Hue/Saturation

The tool Hue/Saturation made me able to change my main artists picture in different colours. Even though I didn’t want my main artist picture in different colours, because it made it look unrealistic I still benefited from trying new skills out on Adobe Photoshop. This tool also allowed me to highlight a piece of clothing that I thought will need more colour by using the lasso tool and then change the hue levels.
