Recover Refurbish Recertify Reuse
2
Legasea offers an alternative route for recovered subsea production systems, and take liability and ownership for
the equipment, making it safe, clean and disassembling it to its component parts. Reusable parts are then used to
fulfil the demand for urgent spares when crucial production is at risk during routine preventative maintenance or,
simply, when a failure is encountered subsea.
We mitigate risk, improving the green credentials of our clients and those of an industry that is perceived as being
environmentally unfriendly, providing a new norm; one that aligns with your Corporate Social Responsibility, as
well as government and industry strategy.
It has always been accepted that buying new from OEMs is expensive, and comes with long lead times, often
affecting production and cost efficiencies. Following the recent oil and gas downturn, all of the supply chain is
now looking to make cost savings and increase productivity, and globally there has been a shift to companies
being more environmentally friendly, a demand that is being made on the oil Industry in particular.

9Subsea Controls Systems
Legasea personnel have extensive experience with the management and delivery of a rage of subsea control systems.
• Vast project engineering experience.• SITs and testing of Trees; EPUs; MCSs and SCMs.• Trouble shooting and fault finding.• Electrical, hydraulic, computer hardware & software support.• Assessment and review of equipment performance data for identification of potential improvement areas.
10Decommissioning Consultation
Prior to cessation of production; Legasea can provide input and advice on early conceptual and feasibility studies, and assist with FEED studies, allowing reuse to be built into decommissioning programs.
This early identification of reusable equipment offers an opportunity to clearly define the most environmentally responsible solutions for serviceable equipment which would have been previously designated as waste.
11Electrical
We offer subsea downline testing rental equipment; this equipment is primarily comprised of capital equipment sourced through the circular economy and repurposed by Legasea Technicians.
We also perform subsea cable and connector terminations; fibre optic splicing and terminations; electrical Insulation Resistance, Continuity Resistance and Time Domain Reflectometer testing.
These services require specialised testing equipment and are performed by highly-trained technicians. Where possible; any equipment, or sub-assemblies, requiring replacement following recertification and testing, is sourced through the circular economy and other controlled avenues.
12Hydraulics
Hydraulic Couplings are supplied, utilising advanced manufacturing methods, to fulfil demand for when urgent operations are required.
Flushing and Testing, of Umbilicals and Jumpers, is offered and conducted by Legasea Technicians, this service is carried out using equipment owned by Legasea, which has been sourced through reuse and recycling.
Equipment is calibrated to ISO (11171) standards to ensure Industry standards are maintained and full documentation can be produced for cleanliness level and pressure testing results.
13Refurbishment
The refurbishment and re-certification of subsea and surface equipment is carried out by Legasea. Client owned equipment is disassembled, cleaned, tested, reassembled and tested in our workshops.
This service allows the useful life of the equipment to be extended, and is both a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution for clients where often new equipment would have been purchased.
Any parts required for refurbishment will be sourced through the circular economy or via approved suppliers.
14Storage & Preservation
Legasea offers a complete storage and handling package, including the following services:
• Secure indoor and outdoor storage, with all equipment stored in accordance with HSE Regulations
• Cranes and Forklifts on site to allow for loading and offloading
• Short and long-term client storage areas
• Fully trained and experienced warehouse personnel
• Dedicated inventory controllers available upon request
• Stock reports provided, in accordance with client requirements
15Subsea Circular Economy
Legasea offers operators a new way of doing business, and an alternative to disposal for unwanted equipment.
Often the equipment consigned for disposal is in perfectly good working condition but considered waste by a client, due to field decommissioning.
With the assistance of Legasea’s technical expertise, these can be refurbished and reused.
When operators decommission subsea equipment, or simply deem it no longer required, whether it’s on the seabed or in storage, Legasea can offer a change for normal practices, removing all liabilities from the client through reuse rather than disposal.
16Subsea Production Equipment
Subsea hardware is stocked by Legasea, with equipment primarily comprised of capital equipment brought through the circular economy and refurbished by Legasea Technicians, including:
Subsea Xmas TreesUmbilicalsElectrical & Hydraulic Distribution SystemsSubsea Controls SystemsValvesActuatorsAccumulators
The equipment is maintained by our technicians, with all equipment fully tested and inspected prior to dispatch to ensure quality is maintained.
17Test & Assembly
For newly manufactured hardware, or re-certification of refurbished / reused equipment, we can offer a full range of services designed to ensure that your equipment is operationally ready. With modern test facilities, both internally and externally, Legasea can accommodate testing such as FAT’s, EFAT’s and SIT’s.
Facilities include:
75, 25 & 10 Tonne overhead cranes.60,000psi Hydro Testing capability.Assembly and Testing of Subsea / Surface Production Equipment.Riser Inspection and Testing.Interface Testing.Pre-installation activities.
