Continue The Vision - See The Vision 20/20

As of January 31, 2020, all building pledge drives have concluded.

AND our MAC building note is paid in full! What a blessing it is that we get to say that!

Anyone desiring to continue to pay towards their pledge

may still do so. Those funds will go into the Capital Improvements Fund.

The Capital Improvement fund goes to repair, replace, or

update larger items in the facility or the facility itself. Such as; roofing, heating and air conditioning,

audio/visual equipment, etc.

Thank you all for the faithfulness you continue to show to the mission of this church.

Lent 2020

“Walking” is often used throughout Scripture as a way of speaking about our life with God. Walking with God, like physical walking, is an exercise that requires practice. Too often, we focus simply on the beliefs of the Christian faith without practicing how we live those out. This Lent, we’ll examine some of the core practices – often called spiritual disciples or holy habits – that help Christians put hands and feet to our faith. Through practicing these essentials habits of the Christian life and integrating them into our daily walk with God, we may find that following in the footsteps of Jesus is an everyday endeavor. Join the Decatur Methodist Family this Lent as we “practice” walking our faith together

Thank you for your continued support of the preschool!

Please be praying with us as we look to start enrollment in April for the 2020 - 2021 school year. Please pray that God will bring families to us that need a place for their child to be shown God's love and that we can be a light to not just the child but the family as well.

Maundy Thursday A Family Dinner Church Experience

One of the earliest traditions of the people who follow Jesus is to gather together around the table, sharing a meal and sharing our lives. At Dinner Church, informal worship takes place around the table with a delicious meal brought together by the entire community. Communion is made as we

share food & share our lives in exploring scripture, singing, and praying together. Bring your faith. Bring your doubts. Bring your appetite for something bigger than yourself.

This family-friendly worship environment is created to be hospitable to people of all ages and stages of life. We will begin the night by singing & eating together at 6:00, then at 6:30 the kids will break

off for activities led by our Children’s Ministry staff while adults engage in guided dinner conversations. Our Youth will also have a special discussion table for students to engage in conversa-

tion together.

Our night will be built around worship, integrating the communion table & dinner table into one shared experience. Just as Jesus gathered around a table with his disciples at the Last Supper, we will gather around tables together & explore what it means to follow as disciples of Jesus today.

A simple meal will be provided, but please feel free to bring fruit, salad, or ‘fixings to add to the Potluck Table!
