DoD ERP SYSTEMS SUPPORTThe DoD has identified key ERP financial and logistic systems that are essential to its

efforts to transform business operations and be SBR audit compliant by 2017. Some of

the ERP systems include the Army General Fund Enterprise Business System

(GFEBS), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Global Combat Support System

(GCSS), Air Force Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System(DEAMS),

and the Navy N-ERP. The goal of the new ERP systems is to replace legacy Military

systems and provide accurate, reliable, and timely financial information accompanied

The DoD is responsible for more than half of the federal government’s discretionary

spending. Significant financial and related business management systems and control

weaknesses have adversely affected the DoD’s ability to measure performance,

control costs and prepare auditable financial statements. NextStep has been assisting

many Army sites maximize the functionality of their new ERP system, General Fund

Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and with SBR audit readiness. The SBR audit
