Final Selection

An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks as 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. The Entrance Test will be conducted at the University Campus.

An interview/viva-voce to be organized by the University, when the candidates are required to discuss their research interest area through a presentation before a duly constituted Department Research Committee.

Candidates are selected based on Qualification Examination and Performance in Personal Interview.

Master's Degree / Post Graduation (2 years) / M.Phil with minimum 55% marks of equivalent for General Category and 50% marks for SC/ST Category Candidates

Should obtain no objection certificate from his/her Organization

No Candidate shall be eligible to register for the Ph.D. Programme if he/she is already registered for a full-time Programme in any other University/Institution

Ph.D. Programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of five years

Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the university

Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programme are exempted from written test, however it is mandatory for all candidates to appear before the selection committee for interview.
