CHANGE THE KEY, CHANGE THE TEMPO ON CDSOur most recent companion CDs include new CD-ROM software that allowsyou to transpose to any key and change the tempo. You can even change thetempo without changing the pitch. This means that the key or tempo ofaccompaniment tracks on these enhanced CDs, when played in a computer asa CD-ROM, can be adjusted for an individual singers needs.
This CD-ROM software, the Amazing Slow Downer was originally created for use in pop music, but we have adapted it for classical and theatre use. It is added without additional cost on recent companion CD releases. The transposing and tempo adjustment features work only when using theseenhanced CDs in a computer, as a CD-ROM. The CDs also can be played on any conventional CD player.
Beyond new releases, as all of our vast number of vocal book/CD packagescome up for rerun, we are adding the Amazing Slow Downer.

New Collections withRecorded ProfessionalDiction Lessons andAccompaniments
In the five collections that follow, the diction for each song is recordedtwice: first recited as an actor would speak it, showing flow of the lan-guage and the mood, followed by a slow, deliberate lesson, allowing timefor the student to repeat each line. These experienced language coachesadapt the R in German and French in the slow versions for singers.They also are very sensitive to liaisons between word sounds in the musi-cal settings.
