    This school is located in the town of Bonnyville with a stable population of 6500. The schools current enrollment is 332.The steel framed building was constructed in 1992 and is 3,259.2 sq.m. in area. Bulk of school is single storey but has several small mezzanines. A single story steel framed addition of 743.63 sq.m. was added in 2002.

    School is in good to excellent condition with minor barrier free upgrades to be considered as the need arises.

    General Summary:

    Structural Summary:Foundation system is typically concrete spread footings and grade beams. Both the original building ang the addition are steel framed with some glu-lam beams in places. Exterior walls are predominately metal stud infill with concrete block around the gym. Roofs are typically metal deck while floors have concrete slab on grade.

    Structural systems are in good condition.

    Envelope Summary:Original building and addition have a variety of finishes including; brick, stone work, stucco and metal siding.

    Aluminum entrances set in aluminum frames and hollow metal doors set in hollow metal frames. Original windows andskylights are aluminum framed. South facing greenhouse skylights require vents to mitigate overheating of interior spaces. Roof has a combination of 2 ply SBS membrane with rigid insulation sloped to drain and steel roofing with good access.

    Building envelope is in good condition.

    Interior Summary:Partitions are typically concrete block and metal stud with gypsum board.

    Ceiling finishes including acoustic tile, gypsum board and exposed metal deck. Floor finishes including vinyl tile, sheetvinyl, carpet, ceramic tile and painted concrete.

    Doors are hollow metal and solid core wood set in pressed steel frames. Some doors are glazed. Lites are pressed steel frames with tempered and wired glass where appropriate. Requirement to include electro magnetic hold opens at4 doors. Barrier free access is good but require minor modifications to the barrier free washrooms and public reception counter.

    Building interiors are in good condition.

    Mechanical Summary:Heating provided by hydronic heating system. Ventilation provided by single medium pressure system complete with terminal boxes. Ceiling space used as return air plenum. Exhaust fans provided to rooms with activities which requireexhaust.

    Fire protection consists of totally sprinklered building multipurpose fire extinguishers.

    BMCS system provides global control of the mechanical systems.

    Items found during school review which should be addressed.- Install handicap lavatories in washrooms with handicap water closet.- Install laminator exhaust in office work area.- Install auxiliary cooling for computer lab and two adjacent classrooms.

    Fire alarm panel is Simplex 4002 hard wired system system is functional but outdated by today's standards.

    Electrical installation appears to be in good condition with no major concerns noted.
