December 19, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: I am pleased and proud to write this letter of recommendation for Miss Mayra Perez to support her future applications to schools, programs and career opportunities- whichever she may apply herself to; and, to thank her for her outstanding service to our school community. Mayra has successfully served as an employee of the Sulphur Springs School District and Valley View Community for three years (9/05/2010-2/20/2013). She has served our district in a number of capacities; including: Response to Instruction(Rti) instructional aide, Special education ( SH) Severely/Multiply Handicapped & Medically Fragile- Instructional Aide, Fluent Spanish Translator, I.E.P. Translator, Special Event/Parent Information Workshop Translator, Community Based English Tutoring (C.B.E.T. – an Adult College English Class) Aide, Yard supervisor ( supporting 725+ students); and, a Substitute Office Assistant. Her job performance is highly rated in all aspects of her assignments and responsibilities. Mayra demonstrates initiative and keen common sense, is self- directed, and stays on task. She completes her assignments independently though she always work well with staff/teams/students. Mayra has earned a positive reputation with all who she works with. She is aware of students’ needs, supports staff and parents; and keeps safety in mind while working. Again, I strongly support Miss Mayra Pere in all her future endeavors and contributions. If, in the future, you are lucky enough to have her apply with your organization, I invite and encourage you to call me to allow me to relate her great potential, her qualifications, and Mayra’s excellent character in greater detail. Sincerely, Rick Drew, Principal
