This music video is done like most indie

rock videos. Its is a low budgeted music

video and it shows the band singing. The

music video follows Goodwin’s analysis

on genre characteristics because the band

is shown performing as they walk down

the street and it is done in a performance

style. There aren't a lot of props used in

the video.

There is a relationship

between the lyric and the

visuals because in this

scene the lead singer

says “sleeping is giving

in” and we see a couple

of kids sleeping in a park.

There is also a relationship between the

lyrics and the visuals in this scene. “people

try to hide the night underneath the covers”

the camera places the audience in the

position of the woman under the cover and

the audience can see how the light is being

hidden by the covers.

The music video is not a narrative but there

are relationships between the visuals and

the lyrics.

This scene is a typical scene from an

indie video. the scene shows the band

practicing at home and it in a way

gives the audience a feel of how they

are like normally. The song is about

family and loving loved ones and this

scene with them in a house enhances

the music because it tells the audience

that they have a home and that home

has been lost and in this case the

home is family and loved ones.
