MULAG Rear-Mounted Mower MHU 800

Taking advantage of payload and remaining flexible

Our rear-mounted mower MHU 800 is mounted on the vehicle platform or platform subframe and is designed to be used in combi-nation with a verge mower and an optional reflexion post mower. Such a combination ensures an ideal load distribution onto both ve-hicle axles. In this way the payloads available are being optimised without losing the vehicle dynamics.

The MHU 800 is quickly ready for operation without any preparato-ry work, as the mowing head remains in the same alignment – both in working and transport position. The lateral shift system of the power arm offers additional flexibility when mowing around obsta-cles. The power arm geometry makes it possible to pass obstacles up to 3.0m high.

The adaptable MULAG-power arm concept

The drive is provided either via the vehicle power hydraulic system or via rear-PTO-shaft. Besides mowing the MULAG-power arm is able to carry out many other tasks, ensuring all-year-round utilisa-tion. The different working implements can be exchanged within a short time via the MULAG quick-change-device.

Control system m|control

The modular conception of the individual control components provides the operator with maximum flexibility. For each vehi-cle and product, he has the possibility to choose between different control elements and determine the place where they have to be mounted in the cab, which means optimum solutions for the professional use of the mower.

The CAN-bus system makes the integration of control components easier and more reliable. Through this elaborate bus technology – specially designed for the automotive sector – the user benefits from decisive advantages in operation and service of the mower.

Hydraulic wheel support

Before mowing it is nec-essary to lock the sus-pension of the rear wheel axle using an external wheel support. With the hydraulic wheel support, it is easy for the opera-

tor to lock the rear axle from the control panel, without leaving the cab. This is the perfect solution for one-man-operation of the MULAG mowing system.

Increase the possibilities of the MHU 800 even further – with our great variety of working implements we can offer the best working solution for a wide range of operational situations. Adding a tele-scopic power arm, or parallelogram power arm, renders especially the one-man operation even more effective and convenient.

Whether in „classic“ combination with a verge mower MRM 300 and a reflexion post mower MLM 200 or the professional solution with an additional front-mounted mower combination MKM 700, the MHU 800 can show its full power and flexibility.

Hydraulic drive via rear live engine PTO (N05) of the Unimog

As an alternative to Unimogs power hydraulics it is possible to use MULAGs own hydraulic power drive system connecting to the rear live engine PTO of the Unimog (N05) – this option still allows the drive of the mower to remain independent of any change of gear in the vehicle gear box.

The hydraulic power drive can be easily disconnected from the vehicles rear live engine PTO using the quick-change coupling of the main drive shaft. The power arm and its hydraulic drive can then be dismounted as a single unit as both are fitted onto the platform subframe.MULAG hydraulic drive with quick-change coupling
