• Apartheid– Creates racial tensions and misunderstandings

• Race Classification Act: Every citizen suspected of not being European was classified according to race. • Group Areas Act: Forced physical separation

between races by creating different residential areas for different races. Led to forced removals of people living in "wrong" areas• Bantu Education Act: Black Education Department

in the Department of Native Affairs; aims to prevent Africans receiving an education that would lead them to aspire to positions they wouldn't be allowed to hold in society• Bantu Areas Act: forced people of certain races into

living in designated areas.
