    REFER TO YOUR SYLLABUSBut remember:1. That you establish the tilt which is usually a compromise between guide planes

    and undercuts so you will evaluate various tilt locations with guide planes andundercut areas in mind.

    2. Guide planes and height of contours (undercut areas) are all relative to your tilt.3. When marking height of contours on teeth keep the lead tip at the gingivae to avoid

    marking a false height of contour.4. To use the undercut gauge with the single strip = .015. Have all survey lines marked on your cast before picking up red pencil to draw

    your design.6. You cannot use the tilt on one cast to establish the tilt on a second cast of the same

    arch as the bases will not be the same in relation to the teeth.
