In this article I will be discussing about the global warming
which has become a very im-portant topic among the leading
scientists and the common people as well. As portrayed bymany
researchers of various fields,global warming is mainly the increase
in average tempera-
ture of the environment of earth,which is expected to be very
much dangerous and harmfulto the life on earth. Many people has
various viewpoints towards this issue and after watch-ing the two
videos on global warming which have completely opposite viewpoints,
I will tryto describe my own understandings and conclusions
regarding the global warming in thisarticle.
As depicted in the movie An Inconvenient Truth,there can be
devastating consequencesof the increase in average temperature of
the world. There can be many fluctuations in theweather of various
places, mainly in coastal regions such as Central America, Japan,
etc.due to global temperature increase and its effect on ocean
currents. But before concludingabout the reasons and blaming the
human activities for these calamities, we should try to
understand what are the natural factors behind this and compare
them with the factorsintroduced by human activities. As correctly
depicted in the movie The Great GlobalWarming Swindle the natural
factors affecting the temperature of the earth are far morepowerful
than the factors created by human activities.
I will try to back this viewpoint by first listing out the
factors which are affecting thetemperature change and are mainly
controlled by humans.These factors can be large numberof industries
giving out greenhouse gases in a large amount, vehicles driven by
us which emitsgreenhouse gases, rapidly increasing rate of
populations which contributes in the major chunkof artificial
Carbon dioxide emission, cutting of trees and vegetations which
were supposedto maintain the balance of Carbon dioxide and Oxygen
in the air. These are the majorfactors which increase the amount of
greenhouse gases in the air and are being controlled bythe human
activities. Now I will try to list the natural factors contributing
to the amountof greenhouse gases in the air. Gases regularly being
emitted by volcanoes, Carbon dioxidebeing emitted by the trees
during night and most importantly the huge amount of life insidethe
ocean emits Carbon dioxide as well and this definitely is not a
small amount as only30% of earths surface is covered in land and
70% is water and inside the huge ocean thereare many known, unknown
living beings who gives away Carbon dioxide. These amount
ofgreenhouse gases which cannot be controlled by humans are not at
all small compared tothe greenhouse gas contribution by human
activities. Another important factor mentionedin the moive The
Great Global Warming Swindle is the role of the Sun in controlling
thetemperature of the earth. This doesnt need any proof that Sun
can control the averagetemperature of the earth where all the
seasons in a year are being controlled by the Sun. Sothe
fluctuations on the surface on sun can largely effect our
environment, not only by raisingtemperature but by many other means
of radiation as well.
So my argument is that the amount of greenhouse gases are
somewhat controlled by thehuman activities but mainly controlled by
natural activities on earth and without consid-ering the effect of
greenhouse gases, temperature of earth itself is being controlled
by thefulctuations in the radiation of the Sun which are due to
solar flares. There has been manypredictions about the solar flares
and the prediction of scientists were that the solar flareswould
reach their peak intensity in 2013 starting from the middle of
2012. If we try tointerpret the recent data, we can easily
visualise and feel the raise in average temperatureand fluctuations
in the time periods of seasons in different parts of the world
which can only

be reasoned by solar flares. This is the proof which enables us
to conclude the radiationfluctuations on the surface of the Sun as
the most important parameter for the averagetemperature of the
earth.
So according to my understanding and by the presented data,
predictions in both themovies, my conclusion would be that major
reason in the global temperature increase orglobal warming is the
natural causes such as solar flares of the Sun and human
activitieshave very liitle contribution to the global warming. But
I would like to address another issuewhich is also environmental
and mainly controlled by human activities and at the same
timedangerous and harmful like global warming.
In the above descriptions I have depicted my deniel of
considering the Carbon dioxideemission by human activities to be
the major reason of global warming but that completelydoesnt mean
that I am not against the unnecessary emission of harmful gases by
the indus-tries and vehicles. These harmful gases includes oxides
of Sulphur(SOx), Nitrogen(NOx),Ammonia, unburnt fuel which are very
harmful for human body and can make permanentdamage to lungs and
respiratory system. Even for other animals and plants these gases
arevery harmful. In the industrial places concentration of these
gases and Carbon dioxide is veryhigh which can cause breathing
problem and not only temporary problems but permanentproblems of
body parts as well. The waste materials from the industries creates
soil polutionwhich directly effects our food that we take. So this
is completely unjustified to emit thesepoisonous gases and wastes
in an uncontrolled manner. In the later part of this article Iwill
try to express my views regarding the monetary issues regarding
global warming andactually what should be done.
Another issue was rightly pointed out in the movie The Great
Global Warming Swindle
which is the investment of huge amount of money in development
of new technologies andimplementation of other eco-friendly
standards to reduce the emission of Carbon dioxide andother
greenhouse gases. Accroding to me the motto should be to reduce the
amount of thesegases not because they are involved in global
warming but because they are permanentlycreating damage and harmful
diseases in human bodies. Plants are most helpful in thissituation
as there are several types of plants which reduces these gases from
the environmentby using them in their own biological processes.
Acid rain, Smog and many other poisonousenvironmental damages are
due to increase in the amount of these harmful gases. So accrod-ing
to me money should be invested to improve the technology and
filtering processes in theindustries and other sources of such
gases.
Its the responsibility of the media and other government bodies
to remove the fear ofglobal warming which is created by describing
the devastating consequences of it. I certainlyagree with whatever
consequence is being predicted but all the parameters which
correspondsto human activities should be removed and the
predictions should be refreshed. On theother hand its their
responsibility to show the actual harmful effects of
industrialization,deforestation and inefficient use of fuel, which
has direct impact on human life. Finally Iwould like to conclude by
saying that every human being on this planet should try to be
asmuch efficient as possible in using the energy resources which is
very important and I believethat reducing the pace of development
by showing irrelevant and unjustified predictions aboutglobal
warming is not at all acceptable, whereas efficient development
should be encouragedwhich will lead our world to a stable and
happily habitable place.
