Vocabulary
Freelance:Working for different companies at different times rather than being permanently employed by one company.
Graphics: Visual images produced by computers.
What is the Work Activity?
Work Activity: You are a freelance graphic designer. A new shopping area is being
developed in town. The area is going to be filled with many stores that are already established: Target, Macy’s, McDonald’s, Apple, Nike, etc. It is also going to be filled with several stores that are unknown: Slick Bottom Shoes, Wiggly Piggly’s Corn Dog Shack, Big Store of Stuff, Video Game Dungeon, and Bags of Candy. Your job is to choose one of these unknown companies, and create a logo for the store you chose. You can also make up your own company name, and decide what that company sells in the store. You will then pitch your logo to the class as if you were pitching it to the owners of the company. You may use any visual format you would like for your presentation (i.e. Google Slides, WeVideo, Powtoon, etc).

“I thought the poster looked nice but I didn’t like the two-inch margin surrounding the image. It was way too much white space on what should have been an epic picture.”
I chose margin because the word white space reminds me of blank space. It also said it was surrounding an image and margins surround something on a page.
