About Innovyze

Innovyze is a leading global provider of wet infrastructure modelling and simulation software and professional solutions designed to meet the technological needs of water/wastewater utilities, government industries, and engineering organizations worldwide. Our clients include the majority of the largest UK, Australasia, East Asia and North American cities, foremost utilities on all five continents, and ENR top-rated design firms. With unparalleled expertise and offices in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, the Innovyze connected portfolio of best-in-class product lines empower thousands of engineers to competitively plan, manage, design, protect, operate and sustain highly efficient and reliable infrastructure systems, and provides an enduring platform for customer success.

Historically the hydraulic modelling and management market has been led by two companies, MWH Soft and Wallingford Software. In 2009, these two companies combined to offer world-class customer support and to pioneer software tools that meet the technological needs of water and wastewater utilities and engineering organizations worldwide. It only seems fitting that a company with such a powerful history of industry firsts and a relentless focus on innovation excellence be named for what it does best.

The name Innovyze brings together the best characteristics of innovation and analyze, which is represented in our combined organization. It means to introduce something new and to change, while carefully identifying key factors and possible results. Although our name has changed, our people, products, and passion are still focused on our core mission: innovating for sustainable infrastructure.

At Innovyze, we always put our customers first and believe that results speak louder than words. Since the company’s founding that philosophy has permeated everything we do and made us a clear leader. Our company is one that sets very high standards. We focus on the fundamentals and we’re relentless in attending to the details. We are passionate about raising the bar — and regularly surpass our own ambitious goals.

We succeed when our customers succeed. We put their interests first in everything we do. We not only give them responsive, timely support, we also help to make them more efficient, and give them the power to surpass and excel. We built a “family-like” company based on extraordinary customer service — one satisfied client at a time. And as we rapidly grew, we maintained a small company soul in a big company body.

Most importantly, we measure our success by our ability to partner with respected engineering firms equipping them with the tools they need to envision, design, build, operate, maintain and secure highly efficient and reliable water and wastewater systems — to build a better world for everyone and help billions of people, around the world, live happier and healthier, more satisfying lives. We take pride in being a vital part of their work.

While we do not lay claim to perfection, we collectively get up each morning determined to do business with integrity and high ethical standards, and serve our customers with great passion and impeccable care.

If you take a closer look at our company, you’ll find a deeply rooted tradition of caring. We want to be a company of goodness — to our customers, to our employees, and to our communities.

Real time Water Supply ModellingOver time water distribution systems have become bigger and more complex, with the result that operators are increasingly looking for a simple, but powerful solution to manage their systems in real time. Innovyze has developed the groundbreaking IWLive to meet the needs of water utilities to operate their distribution systems to the very highest standards, by making powerful modelling technology, found in InfoWorks WS and InfoWater, instantly accessible to water

distribution system operators. IWLive provides advanced forecasting and scenario evaluation for the control room, with tools that are both predictive and more reactive.

The fundamentals of water supply modelling are well established, but operators are continually expanding the range of activities they expect their modelling solutions to assist with. Innovyze’s water supply modelling

Real time Water Supply Modellingofferings excel over other solutions, not only with their robust hydraulic simulation, but also with their wide range of capabilities.

InfoWorks WS operates as standalone workgroup platform compatible with multiple GIS solutions, whilst InfoWater works as an integrated part of the Esri ArcGIS environment.

One particular enhancement available to both solutions is the ability to perform advanced hydraulic transient analysis. InfoWorks TS and InfoSurge provide the industry’s fastest, most comprehensive and widely acclaimed pressure surge analysis, with unsurpassed power to help users better preserve distribution system integrity and avert potential problems.

Real time Water Supply Modelling

Innovyze has developed IWLive to meet the needs of water utilities to operate their distribution systems to the very highest standards, by making powerful modelling technology, found in InfoWorks WS and InfoWater, instantly accessible to water distribution system operators. IWLive equips the control room with tools that are both predictive and more reactive.

AUtoMAtIc SySteM pReDIctIon

IWLive issues regularly updated warnings to draw the operator’s attention to problems that may occur in the coming minutes, hours, or days. The control room opera-tor can see the predicted severity of problems and the time of onset in one easy to use interface. For example, given a low reservoir level data provided by a SCADA system integrated with the system, IWLive will model the outcomes on the water distribution system and will translate abstract level data into specific customer low pressure warnings that may not occur for another 24 hours.

eMpoWeReD pRobleM SolvIng

IWLive can also enable the control room operator to evaluate problem-solving approaches by simulating the closure of valves or a change in a pump’s operating schedule. Additional tools enhance this process. For example the “Isolate Asset Tool” allows an operator to quickly identify and close all the valves in a model to iso-late a broken asset. IWLive quickly produces a second simulation that can be compared with the first to deter-mine the level of improvement, the problems that remain and the customers who will be affected.

The IWLive interface is fully optimized for network opera-tor use. At the same time its simplicity helps operators to become confident and effective in their use of IWLive. The interface allows operators to see a map of all water infrastructures for which they are responsible, including appropriate background maps. Highlighted colour coding shows predicted problem areas; a single click produces a detailed map showing pipes, valves, pumps, reservoirs and other water assets. Animation of the map shows the development of the problem; graphs show simulated pressures and reservoir levels.

IntegRAtIon WItH InfoWoRkS WS AnD InfoWAteRIWLive has been designed from the very start to be fully integrated with Innovyze’s water distribution modelling and management solutions, utilising the same mature simulation engine technology available in InfoWorks WS and InfoWater. Seamless transfer of network models ensures that engineers can use their favoured solution to make changes to models and that IWLive always has access to the most up-to-date picture of the water distri-bution system without operator intervention.
