LUT Utility ReadMe
MINIMUM SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS 10.7 "Lion" or later
Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7 or later
LUT Utilitywill notwork if you are running earlier versions.
Please update your software in order for it to work.
Installation Instructions
1) Run "Apply LUT FxPlug" installerFIRST
* This installs the Apply LUT FxPlug into the FxPlug plugin
directory
LUT Utility will then work in Motion 5
path: /Library/Plug-ins/FxPlug
* The LUT Utility Manager is also installed in the
PreferencePanes
so that it is accessible from System Preferences
path: /Library/PreferencePanes
2) Run "LUT Utility for FCP X" installerSECOND
* This installs the motion template file for Apply LUT so that
the plugin
is accessible in Final Cut Pro X in effects section under LUT
Utility
path: /User/Movies/Motion Templates/Effects/LUT Utility
* FREE BONUS LUTs are also installed so that they are loaded
as
presets in the LUT Utility
path: /User/Movies/Motion Templates/Effects/CGC
Installing FULL License
1) After purchase of FULL license you'll receive an email
containing
the license as a binary file

2) Launch the LUT Utility Manager by going to System
Preferences
and clicking the "LUT Utility" in the "Other" section at the
bottom
3) Locate the license file in your email or Finder and simply
drag
and drop the license onto the panel that says, "Drop License
File Here"
4) You'll then receive a prompt indicating the license has been
installed
TROUBLESHOOTING
Error message:You can't open ApplyLUTPane preference because
itdoesn't work on an Intel-based Mac
This occurs on Mac's running 10.7 "Lion"
Manually installing license
1) In your finder go to Macintosh HD: Library/Application
Support
2) Create a folder called "CGC" in this location
3) Simply copy the license binary file to this CGC folder you've
just
created
Manually installing and/or managing LUTs
1) In your finder go to /User/Movies/Motion
Templates/Effects/CGC/LUTUtility
2) Copy LUTs to this location to make them accessible in LUT
Utility in FCPX

- Remove "Apply LUT" and then reapply
- If that doesn't work try deleting the RENDER files by going
to
your Project Library in Final Cut (the reel icon bottom left)
