For him I have accepted the loss of everything, and I look on everything as so much rubbish if only I can have Christ and be given a place in him. I am no longer trying for perfecon by my own efforts, the perfecon that comes from the Law, but I want only the perfecon that comes through faith in Christ, and is from God and based on faith. All I want is to know Christ and the power of his resurrecon and to share his sufferings by reproducing the paern of his death. That is the way I can hope to take my place in the resurrecon of the dead. Not that I have become perfect yet: I have not yet won, but I am sll running, trying to capture the prize for which Christ Jesus captured me. I can assure you my brothers, I am far from thinking that I have already won. Meditation Once again the scribes and Pharisees set a trap for Jesus in order to discredit him. Be-cause it is placed just before Palm Sunday, this account may be seen as a first episode in the litigation against Jesus. “Pray for each other so that you may be healed” (James 5:16) Trained prayer teams are now available after the 11.15am and 6pm Masses to pray with anyone who would like to receive, not only the benefit of prayer, but of hearing and experiencing the prayer. This can be a moment of profound encounter with God.

Design a Beard £5 donation per design. Money raised will be split: 50% World Youth Day and other Youth Activities 50% Parish Renovation Fund Stage 1: Design a beard (£5 per design). The various designs will then be collated and published. Stage 2: Vote for a Beard (£1 per vote) Vote on which beard design you want Fr. Keith to wear for a week. The more money, the more votes! The designs with the most votes will be used (no colours … sorry). Each week Fr. Keith will wear a different design until the beard is gone. See the leaflet at the back of the church on which you can sketch your design.

Walk of the Cross Good Friday – 25th March

You are invited to take part in a silent Walk of the Cross Starting at St Mary’s Cathedral Huntly St at 6 a.m. The cross will be carried in procession to Kincorth Hill for a short act of devotion.

Across ACROSS is a charity created specifically to provide transport and support to enable those with special care needs to go on pilgrimages to Lourdes and to enable groups to organize holidays to other destinations in Eu-rope. ACROSS are bringing up their new Jumbulance to Café Coast on the Beach Boulevard in Aberdeen on Satur-day 12th March from 10am to 4pm to allow local groups and individuals to look around the bus and it’s facilities. The day will be divided into 3 short conferences with time for discussion, ending with 1st Evening Prayer for Sunday. Charge for the day is £3 and you should bring a packed lunch.
