Yearbooks can currently be purchased online via the WES website for $35.00 through February 19, 2016. They also can be pur-chased through the office for $35.00 with the deadline also of February 19, 2016. No orders will be accepted after February 19, 2016.

If there are any extras at the time of shipment, they will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Mrs. Pressley's class is learning about the five senses. The students are tasting new things, hearing new music,

making objects with their hands, seeing new videos, and smelling mysterious items. We are playing a variety of games to become more aware of our senses. We continue to review numbers/letters and practice writing our names

every day. Please continue to practice letters, numbers and writing at home with your child. Remember to read to your child each night and ask them about our unit!

Our Child Development class is in the process of finishing our wall displays on clouds. We are beginning the second

non-fiction cloud set which will be fun to read about too! This information will contain facts gathered from cloud sight-ings/ chartings in our science journals and from non-fiction literature! Come by and have a read on us!

In Child Development we are starting our unit on the world of color. We have begun mixing paints to create our own master-pieces! Come visit our room to see what happens when you mix the color red and the color yellow. We are conducting several experiments on color using food coloring as well. We have discussed the reason for the use of color or even the lack of color in our books for this unit. We will create and illustrate a winter wonderland class book using some of these techniques. We are becoming illustrators as well as authors!

Pineapples are picked ripe and do not ripen further after picking. There’s no sure way to tell that a whole pineapple is sweet—although fresh, deep green crown leaves are a

good sign. Most grocery stores now carry vacuum—packed pineapples that are already cored and shelled-buying these saves you some work and avoids surprises.
