BEWARE of PARISH EMAIL SCAMS!!!

Many people are being taken advantage of by THIS

SCAM!!! DON’T BE FOOLED!!!!

Fr. Rock was at a meeting last week with the

Reading Clergy and the issue of parish email scams

came up. This is a problem that is happening in

parishes across the country as hackers get an email

chain, create a similar email for the pastor that looks

like the “real” email address and send it out to

parishioners looking for iTunes cards. They seem to

have a lot of luck with parishioners who want to

help their clergy. DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE

REQUESTS. Our priests will never send emails to

you requesting this type of financial request. If you

ever get one of these emails delete it or call the

Collaborative Office.

5:30PM Mass will Resume at St. Agnes

on Sunday, September 22

With the changing of the seasons, also comes the

resumption of the 5:30PM Mass at St. Agnes.

May we all give thanks for the gift of the summer

season, and look forward to all the blessings God will

provide in the upcoming Fall season!

SAVE THE DATE! Faith & Fellowship Opening Session: Sunday, September 15

Our Faith & Fellowship community will soon begin a new season! Mark your calendar for Sunday, September

15, 7:00PM for our gathering in the St. Agnes Parish Center. Guest speaker for the evening will be Christopher

Ruff, author of “Blessed Are You: Living the Beatitudes”. The goal of his book is to help those using it to let

their hearts be opened and touched, so that they may drink deeply from the well of this joy – from the Living

Water that is Jesus Christ – and live out the Beatitudes in their daily lives.

Our faith and fellowship community has been blessed by his writing as a vehicle for sharing our faith and

relationship with Jesus in our small groups. We are very excited to have him with us for an evening of song,

prayer and inspiration. If you want to enjoy an uplifting spirit filled evening join us. We invite all to come and

bring a friend.

FAITH & FELLOWSHIP GROUP LEADERS: Please put September 29 on your calendar as we are planning a

leader enrichment evening. More information to come.

Annual Men’s Retreat: Is Holiness Human?

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15, 2019

WHERE: Miramar Retreat Center, 121 Parks Street, South Duxbury

HOW MUCH: $170 for full Retreat

$100.00 for Saturday only

RETREAT LEADER: Fr. Andrew Kwang Lee, Parochial Vicar of the Hanson-Halifax collaborative.

In autumn of 1986 a group of men attending a weekly Prayer Meeting in St. Agnes Lower Church decided that

their spiritual lives would be helped by arranging to get away for one autumn weekend every year. This annual

opportunity for prayer and testimony and small-group discussion has continued ever since. As the Prayer

Meeting attracted participants from throughout our region, the Retreat has always hosted men from many

parishes. Please consider joining us for an opportunity to discuss your life of faith with Catholic laymen from St.

Agnes, St. Athanasius, and beyond.

You child will go through many challenging

moments in life. You won’t be there for all of them

- but God will.

Remind you child of Jesus’ words to his disciples:

“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of time.”
