Any educational or commercial use of the Student version is strictly prohibited. The software can only be used at home by students attending a licensed institution. Circuit Wizard, our flagship product, is a revolutionary new system that combines circuit design, PCB design, simulation and CAD/CAM manufacture in one complete package. By integrating the entire design process, Circuit Wizard provides you with all the tools necessary to produce an electronics project from start to finisheven including on-screen testing of the PCB prior to construction! INSTALLING CIRCUIT WIZARD-----------------------------------------------------------------------------The steps below describe the installation of Circuit Wizard: 1. Insert the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive. 2. The setup program should run automatically. If the AutoRun feature is not enabled on your system, click the Start button and choose the Run command. In the Run dialog box, type 'D:\AUTORUN.EXE', where D represents the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive. Then click the OK button. If you are not sure which drive letter your CD-ROM drive uses, open the Explorer and look for the CD-ROM icon. 3. Follow the instructions shown on your screen.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------4. RUNNING CIRCUIT WIZARD-----------------------------------------------------------------------------To run Circuit Wizard click on the Start button in the bottom-left corner ofyour screen. Go to the Programs menu and choose Circuit Wizard.You can learn how to use Circuit Wizard by choosing Circuit Wizard Help fromthe Help menu.4.1 Getting startedWhen Circuit Wizard starts, the Assistant window will appear to the right ofthe main window. The Assistant window is designed to get you up and runningquickly.Clicking on Sample Circuits allows you to access a range of circuits andprojects. With each sample circuit click on the Run button to simulate thecircuit. You can switch between different aspects of the circuit, such as thecircuit diagram, PCB layout and Bill of Materials report by clicking on thetabs at the bottom of the window. Try also clicking on the left-hand Stylestoolbar to change the way the circuit looks. Clicking on the Current Flowbutton, for example, will graphically animate the flow of current movingaround the circuit. You can return to the assistant at any time by choosing Assistant from theHelp menu or by pressing Ctrl+F1.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------5. RESTRICTIONS-----------------------------------------------------------------------------The following software functions are restricted or not available in theCircuit Wizard Student Edition: o Printing not available o CAD/CAM not available o User-created symbols and libraries not available o Analogue circuit symbols restricted to European (DIN) format o Zoom limited to 200% o Document protection not available o Spelling dictionary restricted to British English-----------------------------------------------------------------------------6. PRODUCT SUPPORT-----------------------------------------------------------------------------For help and support you will need to contact your school or college.
