A platform for knowledge sharing and intellectual exchange, SoFerence is a national level social conference that includes in its scope Failures, Learning, Creativity, Case Studies, Best Practices and Success Stories in Library and Information Science (LIS) and related areas. The very concept of SoFerence has been highly appreciated for its openness, time management, active participation by all participants, check on plagiarism and focus on the conference content & delivery. Internships
Internship programme for Library & Information Science MLIS (or equivalent) students (full-time/regular) in its Information Resource Centres (IRC) across India. can be availed as part of curriculum either in the summer break or during the
course period. lasts for a period of 2-3 months and includes a stipend. opportunity of practical learning of tools and techniques of information service
during their tenure. Selection through test and interview. Applications must be forwarded by Institutions in the form of nominations or
recommendations at least 2 months prior to the commencement of internship.
University students visit for academic and professional interest. They interact on , share and absorb issues related to library management (University of Maryland – Masters in Information Management visited Bangalore IRC)
